What's up everyone. Nice to be able to find a forum with lots of info. I been lerking these forums for sometime and decided to post as I am in the final stages of putting together a personal grow box. I have 2- 25 gallon sterlite totes in which I was planning to use to grow 2 autoflowers or 3 if possible you let me know. Here is what I currently have.

3-rolls of foil tape

2- 25gal totes obviously

6- 26 watt cfl 6500k

2- 45deg PVC elbows for intake

Soil - FF ocean forest (only premium soil I can find besides MG)

Ferts- FF tiger bloom (hopefully soil will hold me over till flowering till I use tiger bloom)

Seed- I have a few LR#2

Odor - I have carbon activate which I will make a scrubber after figuring out my fan situation

Fans- here is my question??

I just purchased a 4" USB fan purchased from walmart which I can disassemble to nicely Retro fit it inside the box. Now I do have a extra computer fan I believe its a 120mm case fan which I can use but uncertain if I really will need it or if the 4" fan with 2- 2" 45deg pvc passive inlets on each side of the bottom totes will be enough to keep it at 80deg in these 25 gallon totes. I'm completely open for suggestions or modifications in my current supply list listed above to make this work. Thanks again..

It all sounds legitimate.
The cfls won't put off much heat at all so that should.not b a problem. Wish I could help ya more but I'm vary new to all this as well. I'm sure some experts will come and put theiir professional opinions in : )

Good luck with everything!

Hey frizel thanks for your reply.. also thinking if that fan will be good enough to push air through a scrubber and also keep temps in range. ::scratching my head::

Welcome Dank!!!

Just a few things...

Under Ferts you said all you have is FF Tiger Bloom? Maybe you mistyped it. You will need all three FF nutes. Grow, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom. Also I'd pick up a bottle of CalMag as well.
Here's a feeding chart for FF. Remember start out at 1/4 strength.

Soil- FF Ocean Forest is hot stuff and can burn your seedlings, I'd find something to cut it with like promix or any type of soil medium that doesn't contain fertilizers. Peat maybe? Hopefullt someone else can chime in on this.

What size pots are you going to use? Your space will get very small pretty quick once your girls start growing. I'd suggest only 2 plants and maybe 1 gallon pots. You still may run out of room though.

Hope this helps a bit.

Welcome once again dank :smokebuds:

Yea, I've never used a scrubber before or any sort of filter for that matter so I got no good input on that. But it could work, and for some reason it dosent, you'll just need a bit bigger fan I guess.
Here's to everything working out for ya:toke:

Hey Rob, thanks for your reply and your warm welcome. I haven't picked up soil yet nor the ferts. I was going by what my local hydro store sells. I can not find any pro mix anywhere in my area. My other option is Lowes, home depot, or walmart. As far as pots I was going to go with 2 one gallon pots. And as far as ferts go I can always pick up FF trio pack. Thanks for the reply.. By the way I'm glad to of joined this forum. Everyone is nice and I'm glad to find helpful people to get me going.. :::toke to that:::

No prob bro!

See if your hydro store carry's FF Happy Frog soil, they should if they have OF. It's not as hot as OF and will work just fine. That's what I use.
I'd try one fan at first and if it's to hot mount the other one as well. Check out the DIY section for homemade carbon filters.

Rob thanks bro. Will try to find some happy frog. As for the FF nutes schedule obviously I will go 1/4 of recommended but will I skip weeks 3-5 to make it a 6 week feeding schedule correct? If so when do I flush and also incorporate some molasses to the mix if needed?

Good stuff just got my hands on some FF happy frog mix and 2-1 gal pots.. as far as nutes can someone give me a confirmation on how to feed using the fox farm schedule? Thanks
