New grower

The seed im using said its 20%cbd 0.5%thc. Now if this is true, will decarboxylating increase the thc, as this is something i dont want to do really unless it increases slightly. And what does it do to the cbd?

I'm thinking your decabed cannabinoids will still be in the same basic % relationship. Maybe someone with actual experience will let us know.

I believe you are right, pal. Decarbing just transforms the cannabinoids...in this case CBD-A and THC-A to CDB and THC....thus, "activating" it. The levels of cannabinoids don't increase or decrease...although you can over decarb it which then degrades the THC, and I would imagine the CBD as well (not sure on that last one though..)
 
the % they talk about is the effectiveness of the decarbing process.if you only cook for half as long as you should have done,only 50% of the thc/cbd,n,s ect will have been fully decarnboxilated.
