What's up
@Learninggrower? I just caught up on your thread; very active. I have 3 threads going right now, and this one has more pages than all of mine combined! I have to do better.
Nice setup you're running no matter the size...very clean looking. I do understand wanting more space though. Most of us indoor guys do. I have done dwc a few times, and it is a
BEAST! I just don't have the patience to be as meticulous with my days and with measuring nutes all the time (amended coco guy), but the yields are
AMAZING!!! I got 12oz from a 5g bucket. The breeder was Female Seeds, and it was their "Grapefruit" strain. The smoke was
FIRE!!!
As far as the 2 plants looking different, unless you are growing clones, they can act completely different. Even with solid genetics, you will get your random variation. Also, if the leds are the $40-$50 ones from China, then the 600w is more like 150w-220w actual power draw, and the 300w is more like 60w-120w actual power if you are lucky. That is roughly somewhere between 200-300w total of led. Still a decent amount of light for that small space. You are doing a great job with what you have, brother. Not bad at all for three grows in, and battling a heat issue.
I see that you asked about cheap options for grow tents and
@jingo suggested panda film. I have built all 3 of my cabs from 2" x 2" x 8' boards and panda film. I have a 3x3x7, 4x4x7 and a 5x4x7 cabinet. The 4x4 was the most recent. The panda film was $23, the wood was about $20, the screws were $7 and the Gorilla Tape was $8. Total roughly $60 for a really nice size cab. I bought the material and built it all in 3-4 hours the same day.
This is the cab. (1x 600w hps and 2x 130w actual power draw led lights. (860w total)

And these are (2x) "
2Fast 2Vast" by Heavyweight Seeds that I pulled out of it a while ago.

The cabinets are super easy to build, and they work great! The average cheap 4x4 tent on ebay is $110, and a Gorilla brand 4x4 can run
$400+. They look great, but what can it do that my panda film can't? :smoking:
Good luck to you, bro. I will be riding along from here on in.
