New Grower New grower: third set of seeds...

Yeah pretty much, I feel like one way to look at the plants is if the conditions are good is the way the leaves are pointing,
when they enjoy the light you can really tell by the way they are sticking out their leaves to absorb the light.
I havn't made a journal yet, I'm waiting to see if anything goes wrong in the first couple days.
I'm really paranoid about the fact my run off ph in coco is very random, but they say not to look at runoff ph in coco and only focus on EC.
And my ph down citric acid brings down my ec level from 0.5 to 0.4 is tripping me out aswel lol.
But atleast they didn't turn lime green on the first day *knocks on wood*
Here's some close up pics

Looking good! I’ve not read much about coco - I’m very curious to see what you think of the experience vs soil. Given our mutual preference to control the data, I do like the concept of coco being inert and you controlling the inputs...

Very good point about the leaves. I was staring at some of the stunted second-round plants. One plant is drooping, while the rest are reaching out nicely. Everyone gets the same light/water/nutes, so I can’t figure out what’s different. I shifted her to the outer part of the tent and will see if anything changes.

Good luck with the new grow!

There's this website called cocoforcannabis.com with literally all the information you want about coco,
It seems coco is easier but more difficult at the same time, If you have the time and dedication for coco it certainly gives you more control.
The watering is easier it's nearly impossible to overwater coco, but you will also need to water every day, upto twice or more when they get older.
After a couple days on just water you also need to add nutrients to every single watering. So I guess coco is higher cost lol.
Could still go very wrong though, I've read cal/mag is the main issue using coco, and that's something that's different for everyone using tapwater, so you would have just again have to read your plants lol. We'll see, if I have the same issues as before then it might be my tapwater.

I wouldn't worry too much about your stunted plants, at this point you can't tell if you're doing something wrong or not,
they might not recover because of the early stunted root growth. you can atleast let them grow to practice lst lol.

are you adjusting your ph before adding nutrients ? and i would say you do want to watch the runoff ph if its out then your plant wont absorbing nutrients correctly and will start showing deficiency or toxicity but if you water enough the ph will stay solid you wont need to worry if your under watering you will see the ph rising so its best to keep a eye on it

Nono, I know calmag goes first and ph adjustment last, I adjusted to 5.9 PH but the very first reading runoff was around 7 PH
the 2nd reading was 6.5, every plant read about 0.32 EC.
Now when I look up plagron coco premium's information sheet it says "stable ph 6.1 - 7.0"
Maybe that has something to do with it?
I guess since it's coco and I water daily it should drop in the next couple days.
Isn't it odd that EC is so low and PH so high?
I write down every reading so I'll keep a close eye on it regardless.
I aim for 5.9 PH and 0.6 EC in the next couple days with low strength nutrition, that seems what people go for using coco.
Thank you : )

get that thread started up write down all the info for your grow and we will get it figured out

So the seedlings seem to be doing fairly well. Two of the seedlings were delayed, compared to the other 6, in growing leaves beyond cotyledons. One is now starting TINY little true leaves. The other (the separate pic) is a 3BOG seed from mephisto. It seems to be growing only a single true leaf?!? And that leaf seems quite contorted. I’ve seen others post pics of twisted first leaves (actually, the middle seedling is doing a bit of that, too, but good-sized), so I’ll just watch and see what happens.

The soil still feels damp around the seedlings (at the surface, not even “knuckle deep”). I’ve been doing a light spritzing of the leaves, but I haven’t watered since I soaked the pot before transplant on Friday (5days ago). This makes me nervous, but the soil is clearly damp and the plants seem to be doing ok...so I’m checking twice daily for drying. Im

I’m about a week above-ground now and realized I still have them under 24/0 lights. Is now good to drop to 20/4? Because of where I live I plan to do the dark time at peak heat of the day.

Thanks.

Can drop lights down to 18/6, 19/5, 20/4.. whichever schedule you want for them. How's your humidity and temps?
