New grower ! Need advice please!

That’s awesome to hear !! Thanks for chipping in on the convo ! I’m glad fast buds are a reliable seed for you. I’m looking forward to starting the process. Did you follow a grow journal or just water in a pattern of some type ? What would you recommend with your experience now :smoking: and also how much did you harvest from your fast buds ?

When my seeds sprout I just water with a small container the size of a shot glass or a spray bottle. I don't do all the measuring of ppm of my water going in or test my runoff like I see others do here. I have read some of the grow journals posted here and at the Fastbuds website. I'm not big on how much I harvest as it takes me almost a year to smoke an ounce smoking some every night.

I just weighed what I have harvested so far since June and that came to over 11 ounces. I must still have 8 plants that are autoflowers growing outside plus two in my grow tent. I think I started most of those after July 1st. I also have a photoperiod plant growing outside that is a big bush, nearly 6 feet tall. It is covered in buds but may not finish before cold weather. I posted pictures of all of them here a couple weeks back. I just jarred up some Mexican Airlines that I think I got over dried. I put a humidity pack in the jar with it. It was over 66 grams.

I have another autoflower from Afterthought Autos that still has about two weeks to go. It was over 55 inches the last time I measured it. Don't know how much that one will yield but it is big, growing outside and it takes about 100 days.

I planted too many seeds. Here are what I was growing in July. The ones that are still growing that I haven't harvested are huge now.

this is the first time I've ever grown since the state just legalized it last November. Dispensaries are still waiting on licenses and will start selling recreational marijuana in November this year, maybe.

Some the plants I have harvested in the last few weeks I left the lower parts on the stalk and left smaller buds to grow. I just went outside and cut all the small bud off of three plants I had harvested about a week ago and didn't bother with before. Got a half of a brown lunch bag of leftover buds. Probably end up being another 1/2 ounce when dried. I had planned on just tossing them but figured why not spend a few minutes trimming them.

How long does cured weed last in a jar kept in the dark? I figure I will have enough to last me a long time by the time I'm finished. A pound is not far off and if that photoperiod plant makes it to harvest it will be a large amount by the looks of it. I might have to start giving weed away, state law lets you gift 2.5 ounces at a time. Stuff I am currently smoking gets me wasted for hours. Everytime I harvest some I take a couple of small buds and place them in an 8 ounce jar. That jar has buds from every strain I have harvested since June and July. It sits there until I smoke up what I have grinded previously in another container. When my weed I have processed is gone I go to the 8 ounce container and grind up my mixed samples of bud and fill up my small smoking weed container. So far that 8 ounce container has probably 6 or more different strains in it of sample buds.

As of today I have 4 quart containers of assorted strains curing in a cupboard and then 10 separate 8 ounce jars of probably 5 other strains I have grown. I'm about out of small jars and have no large jars left. I either have to go buy some more quart canning jars or figure another way to store what I will be cutting in the next month.

How long does cured weed last in a jar kept in the dark?

actually, quite a long time, lol, and like fine wine, it only getz better...i got a couple that are probly a year and a half in jarz & are every bit as good as the day me put em in there ppp

Here is what I still have growing. The ones outside are suffering from cloudy days and and the shortening of daylight hours.

Fastbuds Gorilla Glue

Afterthought Autos Kilter 55 inches above the soil, topped at the 5th node.

Fastbuds Fastberry 42 inches and 36 inches

Fastbuds LSD-25

Another LSD-25 and behind it a Pineapple Express that is a month behind another planted on the same day and already harvested. The LSD-25's and this Pineapple Express were all topped and the growth is off versus the same strains I didn't top. Might have worked better earlier in the season but these were planted in July.

This is a photoperiod plant. Fence is 6 foot 2 inches tall. I decided to prune all the low hanging branches today as some were touching the dirt and others were getting broken when I tried to water the plant. I also opened up the interior of the plant taking off undersized buds and a good amount of leaves blocking buds. I'll be lucky if this one matures before a hard frost. Not sure of the breeder or strain as I planted three different types and this is the one that survived but I didn't label them.

Hope you don't mind my posting. If you do I will delete it. Just wanted to show you what a first time grower can do with no experience other than growing tomatoes.

I've grown in a 2x2 tent M8.. my advice if your runnin 3gal pots is absolutely don't start more than 2 at once
