More than enough for a 400W CMH lamp. No glass as to not further reduce the lumens. Also get 6" ducting a 6" fan and carbon filter if applicable.

If you're growing somewhere it's unacceptable, a carbon filter is highly recommended.

i dnt understand all this exhaust fan stuff.... im so confused lol sorry im a pain.... cant i just put fans in it and not worry about big pipes running out of it everywhere?? all i want is a tent and i light that will NOT produce heat like my 400w hps does.... and just to upgrade my little fans to big ones and yeah... so if i down grade from a 400w to a normal 250w hps, mh or cmh what distance will i need to keep them away? have a look at this tent and tell me what ya think... it is good price http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HF-GROW-...Seed_Starting_Hydroponics&hash=item2eb583859f also im still after an answer about the fans and light....

so that 400 w cmh light link ya just gave me... will that be cooler than the normal 400w hps light? well thats awesome it throws off less heat... i just have to check that my ballast is not digital and hopefully it isnt.. that will save me alot of money as i wont have to buy a new kit.... whats the 6" ducting and 6" fan your talking about?? like i said i dont want pipes and shit sticking out... if i get the 400w cmh bulb how close can i put it from the pots when there seeds? closer than a regular 400w hps distance of 60cm's?

Significantly cooler. You need the ducting if smell is an issue at all and you need a carbon filter. Ducting is very simple, it works like this -

[CARBON FILTER] -DUCTING-> [AIR COOLED LIGHT HOOD I LINKED] -> DUCTING -> [FAN BLOWING AIR OUT OF THE TENT]


Very very simple.

Position it however you want and use flexible ducting.

One fan, no more. Get a 6" in-line for like 99.99USD. Get a CAN38 special.

Do you have a budget? Answer that question before I provide anymore help. How much can you spend and what do you NEED? Don't over think growing cannabis, it's the biggest mistake to make.

silent you need proper ventilation no matter what your doing.... i have led's and still need to vent air. although its much cooler than hps all lights need SOME ventilation that is adequate to the room size. you can get cheap 4" fans running at 80cfm to help but hps is your enemy right now

my 400w CMH is running in a cool tube ,extracted with a 170 cfm can fan and its own intake from outside the tent ,so i can have passive airflow and use co2. but ,my CMH still keeps the temps at 90f,i wonder if my ballast is the problem,it is digital I thiink.

ok whatsgoodie.. roughly around 300 dollars.. so 150 for tent so im left with 100-150 for light bulb and fan.... so could i just get some big fans for the air out from bunnings/hardware store?? smell is no problem so i dont need to worry about that... just wanna get the shit to grow lol....so how close ya think i could put the 400w cmh light from the pots?
