Outdoor New Alaskan Autos Mk.II

A buddy accidentily ordered them a couple years ago. Wasn't paying attention to the Auto bit. He popped too many beans and kicked a seedling my way, I realized pretty quick it was an auto. Turned out gnarly under a little old 250w I had laying around. A little while back he gave me the rest of the beans. Definitely willing to chance it. Can't be worse than that Flash junk.
I know pop22 really likes this strain, he says it does take some time, I'm sure I just got a strange pheno. You grew it before with good results, so there you go, cheers!

Beans planted, fingers crossed.

High 63f, low 40f in the shack for yesterday.

Looking sunny today, the heavy rains seem to have passed.

Found something interesting last night. Someone dropped a bean by my firepit over the winter. It grew. I extracted it carefully, potted it up, and put it in the greenhouse. The traits inherent to allow a seed to survive -24f, survive the climate fluctuations of break up, and actually germinate and grow are desirable indeed in regards to my end game breeding goals with autos. The only seeds that were played with around that fire pit were from my (Snowdawg II x Jock Horror) x Blue OG photo F2's. If it's a male, I'll quaratine it with one of the Moonstone Amnesia auto females. If it's a female, I'll knock it up with a Moonstone Amnesia male. Some of the original Snowdawg II x Jock Horror photos exhibit semi-auto traits. (Clones stuck in lifecycle stages, inability to reveg, extremely vigorous growth, and auto-like preflower calyx development.) I suspected that's how they sped up the Jock Horror flower time so much, but had no difinitive evidence.

That's pretty cool. Some super tough cold, outdoor survival genes.

High 81f, low 44f.
Heavy rains again. Gonna need some good sun here in a week or so, so those beans don't stretch a mile. Might have to hook up some 2' t5's temporarily if this dreary weather keeps up. Trying to avoid electric usage.

Been having the same problem here, but it finally switched over today. I think it's a little late for me but I've got a few seeds germing.

If we've got roughly 90 days from June 1st to September 1st it ain't too late yet.

/edit Weather be damned.
