New Grower New 2 growing. . I've chosen, fast & vast auto!!!

It's 2.4 x 1.2 x 2 meter tent, I got it as a package with the lights and filters. . I don't have a thermometer, but I'll take your advice. . I'm a newbie, but I'd like a nice harvest! it's cost over £500 in all but the aim is never to go to a dealer again lol

So, I'll take one of the HID's out, I'll connect my T5 back up for now with my blue spec tubes for veg. When my plants start to come into flower look at changing the t5 to red spectrum or if I put my HID back on get additional ventilation with another small extractor to suck the heat out?

That sound about right? ... I'll get it sorted now if you think that's the right way to go?

Sorry, being an international forum it is always good to state your unit of measure. I read your first post a 2 ft x 4 feet
So yes, 2 600 watt lights for that size of space makes sense. So that means you will need to increase ventilation if you are going to run both at some point

The lighting for your tent size should be spot on.

I'm guessing your in the Uk since you used £ as currency. My question would be, where are you venting your heat too..?
A different room, out of a window? If it's into the same room your tent is in, then heat will build up and re-circulate very quickly. This time of year you shouldnt have heat problems.

I'm not sure of your fan brand, but 6" should be adequate too.

Yeah I didn't state my measurements clear first off, so I'll take the one HID out for now, put the T5 back on for extra light and increase my ventilation before I get the 2nd HID back out. (and I'll get a thermometer.)

No problem, 2 x 4 feet is a very common tent size in the US so that is what I assumed. Happy growing

I've got my inline coming from another room for fresh air to get in the tent, but you're right I've got my extractor exhaust in the same room! I've got the window covered at the moment, I'll have to get more ducting to get it to vent out the window.

My fans are TT vents. . 125 inline, 150 extractor, I think the brand is called 'vents' I'll check when I go back up.

Seems like I've still got a bit of work to do!

Definitely make sure I've got the required ventilation before I even think about putting my 2nd HID on!

New 2 Growing. . . Fast & Vast Auto!!!
I'm at week 5 of my fast and vast autoflower.


I've had some heat issues, but finally getting it sorted thanks to helpful people on this site!


I've recently been running 2 600w HID's, had to take one out as my ventilation wasn't the best and started to have major heat issues regarding the plants.


I've changed my set up around a bit now, I may need to get a more powerful extractor fan to extract the heat through the carbon filter as well as the smell. Will that work? Or an extra extraction be the better option? But then again, smell from that.


I've replaced the one HID with a T5 that I had put aside.


2.4 x 1.2 x 2 Meter grow tent
8 Fast & Vast Auto's
11litre pots
125 5" TT inline Vents
150 6" TT extractor connected up to my carbon filter
Plagron Grow & Plagron Bloom nutes.
Canna Pro soil with perlite


I've read somewhere that they need 350ml of water a day.


My first grow, at week 5. . Got pics to follow shortly.


Anyone had any exp with this strain? Supposed to yield quite a bit, but I'd be happy even if I just got an ounce off each plant for a first attempt!


I just hope the recent heat stress that they've had won't effect them too much!

They should be fine mate. Im sure youll get a nice yield. I thought the same as oldster about tent size. Once you get your ventilation sorted you should be fine running 2 600w hids. Best of luck with the grow hector of troy
