Lighting Need some advice.

Well after a good amount of googlefu I have come to the determination that my lust for a near perfect(maybe) spectral output is losing to my budget lol.

I did find some mcpbc(quantum style chipped boards)in a 5000k and 99cri from waveform that has a very good looking spectral output, but using said board strips to build a light that has enough output for the purpose is prohibitively expensive.

Same seems to go for trying to achieve the same with cobs and spectrum supplementation.

Even just diy of a basic setup that I feel would be adequate of around 200ish or so watts is on the expensive side. This is for personal stash not a cash crop so I can't really justify dropping 4-6 hundred on a light especially when im looking at probably another 3-4 hundred or more on the rest of the supplies I'll need.

Which leads me to the unfortunate place that im at now, which is looking at a cheap Chinese board, the spider farmer sf2000.

Its definitely not the way I was wanting to go but its in the realm of reasonably priced and uses Samsung chips and a meanwell driver.

Not really sure how good they are though, they seem pretty new to market and I can't really find many reviews on them. The few vid reviews I have found with an actual grow log to provide proof, are all still on going.

So I guess that leads me to, does anyone have any opinions on this board?

I just ran a side by side with QB and Cree Cobs. 4K QB has plenty of red and on the Cob rail I ran 3k/4K pair per plant. Grams per watt was identical and density of bud was also.
Trying to fill holes in spectrums doesn’t grow grow good cannabis. Any nice quality full spectrum light will be more than most growers need for it not to be the limiting factor in a grow.
:vibes:

I'm running the SF1000 in a small 2x2x4 tent. Inexperienced first-time grower at 27 days into first grow (journal is in my sig) but so far I have no complaints.
