Indoor Need advice on old MH/HPS/LPS.

LST LOW STRESS TRAINNING .......basiclly like spuercropping but without breaking the branches ...auot are very particular to damage and stunts growth for a day or 2 .......u just pull slightly bending the branches down so that the side laterals think they the top cola now and grow rapidly and u get better light penetration to the lower less fortunate buds ....and get some rest bro ..we all need good rest its 12noon here right now

I thought it was long string technique. Saw videos on youtube showing LST, supercropping, and SOG.

I found an article by a friend, about a current AF screen of green project -

i have seen and heard of LPS as well didnt know how technical but i have seen it about 10 years back as well .......

MOms hippie brother grew under that but I never knew the whole grow thing back then .....

It was hanging down through a plywood DIY box line with aluminum sheeting .......guess thats all he could get ......

I used the box later on but with HPS this was 8 years ago but i wouldnt ever have great success

BUt i remember talking about lights and what not before

I may have opted for the LPS over HPS, because it did not like the idea of high pressure, with an element that catches on fire. May also have been to keep electric bill down.

zatoichi why not leds if u want to keep electric bill down and thats an excellent scrog thread :peace: sj

Please Sir, cast your mind back and see if you can remember:

Did you grow bagseed?

Indica?

Did you grow good weed?

I lived on the Mexican Border in the 1990's - there was brickweed everywhere. Columbian too.

It was indica. Learned from a book from the 1970's "How to grow marijuana hydroponically" by Patrick Daniels. There was no internet at the time, so learned by failing. It was in a 6 foot high, 6 foot wide space. Used ebb and flow, and lost height to the beds and the reservoir, plus the light hood. Did not have PH meter (our water is 7.7), and used miracle grow as fertilizer. Got one lame crop, and gave up.

  2. +
  3. funny you mentioned this because the old lps bulbs were the ones that were prone to explode when they failed:)
    the hps was actually safer:)
i am sure this was better taken care of but the problem is that lps still offer a very narrow spectrum(mono-chromactic) and w/ this issue really you are gaining next to nothing for the plant
right now at this current time as far as lights go from led to cfl a ceramic metal halide offers the "closest" to the sun full spectrum hands down
