I love the t5 for seedlings. And I'm seriously down for BigSmo's lights. You really cant beat the ability to hang single cobs @ different heights. I have a 300w older cob model light, PLC CX300 and I love it. But, I would trade in a heartbeat for the diversity of single cobs.

I am looking into a purchase next week. So BigSmo runs cobshop? Ok, I didn't know that! I may need to give him a shout. I want to have the flexibility of moving single cobs like you say. And a power supply that could add more cobs in the future. The plants should be fine under the t5 for a couple weeks. Gives me time to consider the options. And gather more $ for more cobs

Yeah man, cobshop is BigSmo. The price has come down a bit to. Getting 1 at a time beats spending a grand on 1 light that doesn't fit every scenario. If you have 1 big plant and one small plant, it sucks having to raise the small one for light. With single cobs, not only can you keep all plants on the floor, the big plant will get more light on the lowers from the light, hung lower, for a small plant. And don't be fooled by the low wattage (55w). Have you seen what he did with 4 of them in a 4x4? It's ridiculous!

Time for a little break from all of the cob thoughts going on in my head and a few updates on the sprouts. Coming up nicely now, 9 are up and going on days 3 to 7. Have a few under the cmh and are adjusting nicely.

Three seeds didn't come up yet, so I have two more skylars in paper towels ready to go. I poked around the soil for a white n bubbly and found it, no taproot or signs of life. Put it in a glass of water, give it one last shot.

No it's Souxie Soux the Chem City Blues baby that's rockin the punk look in my tent bro. She's a miserable old thing as well. Maybe she's a goth

I almost killed my cat this week......
She's a baby killer. I only have myself to blame, however. I left the grow room door open a crack at night for some extra air flow. I forgot to close it and fell asleep. Woke up. Checked on plants. Find cat laying in 50 gal pot, sun bathing under the T5. On top of two newly sprouted babies. She saw me come in and bolted, running across two other pots and ripping two other babies out of the soil.

I can't blame her. I made it too inviting. Clover and other herbs for her to lay on. Nice and warm, with what, 8 inches between the soil and lights.......

I started a few more seeds to replace the dead. Two plants, a white train and a 3 Bears bit the dust. Smoke one in their memory

Luckily, there's some good news. I am all set to order 4 auto cobs this week. Doing all I can to get rid of that HPS. And I will have a few $ left for some more mephisto beans on 4/20.

Oh yeah, and the sprouts the cat took a nap on....they look like they may be just fine!

Check this one out. It was a new sprout flat to the soil when I found it. Still opened and grew but is kind of short so far LOL

3 Bears, also smashed but not quite as bad. Coming back strong, thought she was a goner as well


Now this one just plain old grew jacked up! 3 bears. Huge cotyledons and one leaf sprouted out. Finally the second leaf is starting to form. May have to cull this one.


As you can see, I am not a very experienced grower. And it gets better

This one, a white train, decided to grow in between the side of the sterilite tub and soil. I dropped it the first day I planted when I was too excited to take my time and do shit properly.
So here she is. I had to dig her out. She wasn't going to be too happy where she was. so to a solo cup she goes.
Upside down for your viewing pleasure. I should grow her upside down if she makes it. Hell she made it this far. That taproot was looooong on her!


Strap on your seatbelts. It's gonna be a crazy ride

At least the more established plants are still intact. Skylar 1 at 10 days.

3 BOG now this one is def getting an auto cob when they come in. Other plants are fine at the same level as her, but she just keeps bending towards the light.

I popped this seed to make up for one my cat killed. Straight to soil, no messing around. Dome over her til sprout, kept moist. Sprouted this morning. Skylar has been without a doubt the fastest to germ and sprout up for me this grow


My soon to be second grow space. May put one auto cob in there. For some photos (2 liter grow, Blue Dream) if they work out. Or a second auto space. Hell at this point I may as well ditch the tents, hang auto cobs from the ceiling in the whole bedroom. And call it a day :smoking:

Thanks hippy it happens. Cats. Gotta love em. My neighbor has a little yapper dog and I want to punt the thing every time I walk out of my front door. I just vibe with cats more I guess, but I could do without most dogs.

The cat is probably doing me a favor actually. I have officially planted 15 beans in soil. If they all come up and I can manage to not stunt them it's going to be a full tent! I may have a mess on my hands......

Going to go for some auto cobs this week. Can't wait. Cool thing about auto cobs is you can hang them anywhere. Tent doors open, who says you have to hang them inside the tent ?

Haha I'm the same mate. I love all animals but cats are just the b*llocks really. So sly and clever. And definitely stoners some of them. One of mine appears every time I spark one! lol. Yeah dogs you can keep really. I like them but don't particularly want any. I just prefer cats attitude.

Did you know we domesticated dogs, but cats CHOSE to be domesticated by us basically!
