Myth Busting - Revegging Autoflowers

There is always the possibility that we just haven'y found the key to cloning them yet. And yes, that's pretty much what I just said. However, it's those of us who do fiddle around with cloning autos that may find a way, because if it could be done and have productive autos, it could be a game changer.

Have you seen the mainlining technique people are doing with their autos? I can't remember her name (it was a lady I want to say) was experimenting on Instagram with aggressive training techniques to slow/halt hormone changes in autos to create a longer veg period. Super curious stuff.

Interesting!

6bap and IAA, anyone try those?
Autos indoors especially tortured and hit with the latest natural pgr cocktails found in pricey bottled nutes and force fed with hydro indoors under expensive leds with 3-4month cycles ive seen on grow diaires is the dumbest shit ive seen regarding growing pot for a good smoke.

Outdoors in warm sunny climate i have let the bottoms go and they just foxtail and add trichomes on top of each other. Fun if it takes no effort or your time.

When I worked for Growers Network, a commercial grower had posted one of their long time, photoperiod mother started to AUTOFLOWER. It wasn't fully automatic, but it was clearly flowering in veg. No one could figure out why it was happening. I was the only one to ask "was this ever crossed with ruderalis ," and the grower said "yes, it was crossed ONCE." And after years, for whatever reason, it triggered the gene to start expressing.

I'm a MEGA believer in epigenetics.
... Mr. Personality Krk/cres :)rofl:) from HighRise has noted that Lowryder crosses, once in the mix, seem to literally force the expressions toward automatics no matter what. He's tried breeding it out, progeny photo x photo selections, and every fucking time the autoflowering shows up regardless. he made very good point about concerns with this fucking up breeding lines. I honestly don't know if other breeders have experienced this, but knowing how skilled he is with this, I give it serious weight...
Oh, Mighty Mite is another odd-ball, showing both auto and non-auto/easy triggering/speed blooming characteristics... it's genetic behavior is very different from LR from what the private breeders have noted....

What does crossing something once mean? A full auto x photo is an F1 sometimes called "fast flowering."

I have had several "reveg".
Stunted flower and root issues. After flowering deep increased light intensity and fixed root issue.

Now reveg is a misnomer. The already flowering tops never truly reveled.
The lower branches began to grow and do a semi-flower stretch type deal at the bottom and started flowering hard.

Had to take the tops off. Didnt want to risk airflow issues and molds on frosty bud now trapped in the plants centers.

Only a handful did this and it was across several varieties. Not just 1.

Never had it happen before.

Late to the game, but anyway.

I think Autoflowers can reveg.

When I did my first ever harvest I was left with two bottom twigs branching out from the stem with some undeveloped buds on them. I thought I'd keep it going to see what a happened. The left branch I didn't trim at all. The big dark leaves grew from really tiny little leaves. The branch on the right I did trim. Completely. These weird broad shaped leaves grew out of the buds, and they were really not the shape you'd expect. I was trying to get an idea of whether trimming was worth dong or not. Check out the picture.

I'm pretty sure those broad weird shaped leaves are an attempt are revegging. Sure, I stressed the plant massively, but I think that this might well suggest that the genetic ability to reveg is there.

Autos are weird. I think gardeners call these "suckers."
