Outdoor my outdoor adventures with MANY strains from seed

i have been an indoor grower for years with various hydroponics systems and nutrient lines. this year due to a friendly bet i'm giving outdoor growing a go. currently i've got just over 100 young ones outside. im growing tons of strains, everything from auto's to classics. some photos will be posted below, please dont mind the black cover up spots that i used to cover my tags. i watch too much tv and am paranoid of them finding a way to take fingerprints or handwriting samples from my tags. thanks csi and ncis...

first up are some shots of the plots. these are all from seed put out over the last month so some are just seedlings and you'll have to look closely to find them.

they look nice...coming along....I am new to auto's but not outdoor ops....You may have them too close...is spacing not as crucial with those?

most are auto's so will stay very small. also dont forget these are all from seed so loads of them will be males and will be removed which will open it up more.

Quick question for you Irish
Do you sow them directly into the soil outdoor?
Or put them into jiffy pucks or something like that then put them in the soil?
How long did you wait till you planted them outdoors?

ill be sure to update as the sexing continues. ill be saving the better males of each to collect and freeze pollen along with doing some crosses and f2's

How long did you wait till you planted them outdoors?

i germinate seeds inside then put them into 72 cell humidity domes until they come above ground. as soon as they come above ground they go outside with the dome off where ever i can stash them. they sit in that spot in the flat untill i get time to get them to the plots. these each spent about 2 weeks above ground sitting on a porch with half a day worth of sun each day before getting to their new homes.

i would rather just germinate them inside and then plant them in the plots as soon as i see a tail but with multiple seeds per hole but i cannot untill i get more seed of each. i will probably do that next year with the seed i make this year.

i use the liquid fence deer and rabbit repelent sprayed around the whole plot and on the seedlings and havent had any plants harmed by animals yet but i have this strange problem where each time i go to the plots ill find half of my cages knocked off the plant with the cage all bent up like a raccoon beat the piss out of it but none of the plants are harmed? im pretty happy with the liquid fence stuff. it seems expensive for about $25 per gal but i've applied it twice so far and still have half the bottle left and no animal damage and i see deer and rabbits within 100-150yds of my plots on my way to visit each time.

im hoping to keep these 2 plots next year and make one more near these but also find 2-3 more that are far away from each other to do large open pollination seed runs. im making seeds this run but its going to be a real pain with over 20 strains from seed in different stages having to dig up males and find places to put them to collect pollen.

It's probably a pain to germinate all those seeds and end up with a lot of males. Have you thought of creating your own feminized seeds?
We have a member here that has great success with creating fem seeds.

i've made fems in the past and plan to make a few batches for outdoors but i want to work on making more regular seeds of alot of my seeds first. i'd like to make a ton of fem'd auto asian haze, sfv bx4, and shishkaberry for sure though.
