I use it in both capacities. I top dress and water in and I mix it into soil that I'll be transplanting too. No idea what auto seedlings think of the stuff - I shy away from feeding til they are really rocking and have some nodes. But yeah- mix it in when you prep your hole, unless just dropping a seed- then I'd have it mixed in deep- where they won't get burned.
Then yeah- top dress a couple times. Easy. Works well.
that grey colored sand prob has alot of good minerals in it and high in carbon which is great
the shale well not so great it's the reason my family left
the lime could be adding alittle to the effect or alot to the effect depending on type of lime used and how big your hand is
but really a soil sample test would serve you best in the end for future decisions
and it will differ from site to site of course
sounds like you will have a good handle on it when you need to
well outdoor season is officially over for me this year. i got ripped. already had my seedless stuff harvested but this was my seed plot so i lost all the auto asian haze, and everything i was showing here. this crop was supposed to give me seeds for next year.
worst part was it was my seed plot for next year. was making auto asian haze, dojaberry, and double purple doja for next year. they got my buddy's stuff too that grew close by.
