Thanks! Sorry to make you repeat yourself. I started to doubt myself a bit.

Don't have doubts
It is our 1st time, mistakes will be made BUT lets learn from them and find what works for us.
There is more than 1 right way to do it.

Look at my shrubs haha I'm not happy with their size but i am happy i made it as far as i have, I'm having issues but I'm learning :smoking:

Hey there bud, new grower here also. 4 -1/2 weeks into first grow, . Like you I spent a lot of time on homework , prep and build on my loft tent, not to mention the cost. Thought I had everything in place and ready to grow, kit wise everything was good and running well. But you just can’t beat practical hands on learning, I made every newbie error possible in the first couple of weeks, my homework has helped and got me out of trouble many times, and I’ve managed to get her to the flowering stage, right now she is my life lol. Basically take it one day at a time, it’s true what they all say on here, your plant will tell you what she wants.
My two pence for you , and any newbie really for what it’s worth would be forget about the yield, just look after the plant, the rest will follow.Good luck to you Enjoy the ride buddy, I am lol.

Good stuff. Thanks! I will keep this in mind for sure, and I’ll check out your profile to see if you’re journaling your first.

Not a full journal this time round , but am updating now n again . My ocd doesn’t need a journal on top of a first grow lmao.

:pass: Because plants don't do much on a day to day basis, you don't need to let it consume your life! They aren't like pets who need round the clock care and attention. Maybe it's just a new grower thing but really, a daily check on your readings and equipment is enough, along with whatever feeding and watering the plant needs.
I'm on my fourth or fifth grow and cos of my external thermo/hygrometer, I don't even open my tent some days. Three or four times a week I get in there to feed and check everything's where it should be, and once a week give the whole space a good clean. It's easy as pie and takes minutes a day only.
Spend more time on AFN than in my tent, for sure :haha:

Once a week journals are good. Not much change day to day, pics and text about what happened during the week are cool. Plus weights at the end and you could get a shiny yellow flag.

That’s good, I’m up in my loft so that keeps me away, but everyone has a different attitude towards growing, some are Very laid back ( what will be will be attitude) and some are full on . What I meant is mentally it’s consuming my life, but yes your right I think it’s a new grower attitude. So to all of us new growers, if you wanna check on your plant 5 times a day then do so if it puts your mind at rest and I’m sure in a few more grows we will all be more relaxed.

Agreed, i like checking on my plants 2-5 times a day even with video and temp/rh feed to my phone, i do what i want :smoking:i enjoy it.

As for journal updates i like doing daily updates but that is for me, i would assume if it was annoying other people they can choose not to follow or whatever but i think i would go down to weekly updates after i feel good about my growing skills a few journals from now sure.. BUT i still enjoy taking progress pics everyday and putting a folder together for each grow attempt.
Different strokes for different folks

Day 3 for Violet and she’s showing a bit of attitude. Pretty girl and she seems strong. She got a watering this morning and I feel confident about my timing. Still nothing from any of my Vision seeds. The White Widows are taking their time. We’ll see if they pop.
