A few folks are I think @FullDuplex has something to do with it
I know he got second last year and has a cool thread going with his entries for this year. Hoping maybe some of the other folks I'm meeting on here will go as well. My work typically has me traveling a good bit, but of course that has been on hiatus for more than a year, and I miss it! I think I'm gonna scratch that itch with a fun weekend in Washington. :smoking:

Niiiiiiiice!

Violet is drinking more quickly. Today she got spring water at 6.6 with some Fishsh!t and a bit of yucca powder. The very first runoff tested at 5.8 again, but I dumped it and came back 45 minutes later or so and there was enough there to test again. This time it showed 6.4. Perfect! This is the first time I've seen good PH numbers while checking runoff. The TDS PPM was only 635, compared to over 1000 the last time I checked, so I'm thinking it'll soon be time to add some nutrients. Better figure out what I'm going to do there.

Now that I think my soil PH is okay, and I don't think my soil is crazy hot at this point, I'm really starting to think the clawing I'm seeing on the new growth is from continued light burn. If it was nitrogen toxicity, I would think the leaves would be darker green than they are, and I'm not seeing any of the other symptoms I've read are associated with that issue. I think I might just be giving her a bit too much light at this stage of vegetation. I've read that this can cause clawing on leaves, and I think it might also explain why some of the older growth seems a bit pock-marked, which you can see in the darker green leaves lower on the plant.

I got the Photone app and bought the full-spectrum LED light meter to see what my PPFD numbers are looking like on her canopy. I know the app isn't perfect, but I think it gives a pretty good ball park estimate of light based on some things I've read, reviews, etc. The light on her canopy is reading 937 on the app, which would be good for flower, but I think it's just a bit too bright on this new growth in this veg stage. I believe I want it to be more like 500-600 at this stage of her growth, and I'm wondering if that might make her leaves straighten out and mostly resolve this issue. I think I can give it a shot today and I'll know pretty quickly if I've properly IDed and resolved an issue (which is part of the fun of growing to me!).

Good job, feels good solving problems don't it.

Does that app require you to use a light defuser on the phones camera/light sensor?

Well I don’t know if I’ve solved it yet, but I’m hoping!

Yes, it shoes how to make a DIY diffuser. Doesn’t require, but suggests it for more accuracy.

I was suppose to be using ff trio on my current grow but i hopped on the megacrop train and thats what ive been feeding mine :smokeit:
@Bill.de.Cat and @Zeromitch, can you tell me a bit more about how you use Megacrop? How did you decide when to use it? How do you apply it and how often?

The FFTRIO was taking me about 30 min to get mixed and ph'd and I'd read some of the megacrop thread. Measure out by gram, mix with water, ph is so far almost always real near optimal so only a couple drops of ph up or down at most. 1st feed was 1 gram, 2nd 2 grams, 3rd 2 grams then 4 grams since then. 1 feed, 2 waters. Doing em about every other day now. Mix it up inabout 5 min now

Thanks! And are you using anything else?

I read 7 pages of @AJrexxx dwc mega crop journal and i bought some that day, then i seen others were using it for soil so i just started mixing in with the recommended grams per gallon but now i just mix the mega crop until i get about 570ppm over my water's ppm because i seen @Mañ'O'Green and @Wian breaking down the numbers in wian's journal. so far i like it, doe snot take me 30 mins to adjust/mix and the ph is always around where it needs to be after mixing. bottom line i was looking for something i could be lazy with :smoking:
