Diary update for today 3/27/21 for the Quarter Pounder auto X Dark Devil auto at day 14 post sprout. I will be topping this girl I'm thinking in about 2 days. Her fifth node is now formed and I am waiting for enough stalk to grow upwards to give me room to top her safely.

A question for anyone/everyone. Her bottom two leaves are sitting very low to the soil and in the evening tend to "sag" just a bit and touch the soil. You think I should remove those two leaves? Or are they alright like that?

Diary update for 3/25/21 for my Original OG Kush auto on day 25 post sprout.

Her two remaining nodes continue to stretch towards the rim of the 15 gallon pot. I'm praying they each reach the rim and start to grow upward prior to her starting to flower but I am not too confident on that. She has put out her first set of side branches on node 3 the bottom one and my training bamboo sticks are now beyond those branches. I am not sure if I should train those to grow horizontal or if they just grow as they want. Maybe someone can chime in and help with that question? My inclination is to train them so they grow out away from each other to give them more space when they start to go vertical. Anyway here are a couple photos from this morning.

Since guidance, knowledge sharing, and helping fellow growers seems to be nonexistent on this site I will continue to plod along and wing it on my own. I decided to remove the two big leaves from the second node that seemed to want to droop down into the medium. Looking at the top of the plant I expect I will be topping this plant in a 2-3 days around day 18 post flip.

Nice LST/training job on that OG Kush! I really like the way you've used those sticks to hold everything out wide. I'm no expert on training, I'm currently experimenting with pulling my main branches out wide and then let the smaller inner ones grow into the space. I would leave those smaller new branches to grow vertically and fill in the center. Keep the main stems going out to the edges and then up.

Hoping for good air and light getting in there.

Thanks for the help! I mean it! This Original OG Kush is really my first experiment training an auto in this manner. I typically top an auto once and just let it go. And I'm thinking that method (top and let go) will be the way to go to do a seed run.

Yes that's great advice I was thinking along those lines too. I read somewhere that if a new shoot comes off one of the branches on the underside of the main branches to remove them and only let the ones growing out to the side to live. Oh and to also remove leaves growing inward towards the center of the plant. I believe that's for when it starts to go vertical.

i started using sticks a few weeks ago to help with my Lst.
