Mephisto Genetics Multiple strains of Mephisto dank

6 days since my last update and the girls are doing ok. Forgotten Cookies and the Blue Cush were transplanted to their final home 3 days ago and they have responded with new growth. They are sharing a new California Lightworks Solar Extreme that I picked up during the 420 sell. I didn't do any research on the purchase, but I have heard that they make a decent light. At a little less than a dollar a watt, I couldn't pass it up. Here's a couple of pics and thanks for stopping by! :pass:

I've been happy with the solar extreme so far. Hope it does well for you too. Looking good.

I am really confused at why you have basically 3 different layers of pots? You are screwing yourself and your plants. The No Transplant tech is really holding your plants back. A proper transplant will provide your plants with the rootspace they are currently craving. Plants started in Cups need to be transplanted by about day 14. Once a Auto in a cup gets rootbound or hungry...it is hard to bounce back fully. You should even consider starting directly in final pot. But leaving your plants inside a cup, inside another pot is counterproductive in every way. If you need help in the future, let me know. Your plants will thank you. Good luck, slow

Not sure on the 3 layers of pots, but I do see 2 layers, (unless your counting the outside cup that I remove before transplant). Not only is the bottom cut out, but they also have slits cut out in the sides. With that said, I 100% agree that sowing a seed in the final pot is the best way to go and I just ordered a "veg tent" so I can do just that. The only reason I've used cups is that it gives me a head start on my next grow, instead of waiting for my current grow to finish before I drop new seeds. I know it only saves me 2 weeks growing time, but the process has served me well with most grows yielding around 8 zips. The hassle is having to pack out the 4 new pots so I can have room to water the mature ones. Anyways, thanks for your input and for stopping by! :pass:

I think I see what your talking about as far as 3 pots. That layer of burlap you see inside the airpots could be counted as a pot I guess. It's there for 2 reasons. Firstly, I have arthritis in my hands and fingers and by using the burlap, the airpot holds less medium and makes it easier to handle. The other reason is it helps hold the coco/perlite medium so it doesn't wash out when I feed/water. It probably defeats the design by not allowing roots to curve back from the sides of the pot. I guess I should have ordered a smaller size to begin with. :pass:

Its all good. Just trying to help a fellow grower. I highly suggest doing an actual transplant or better yet, directly planting. If you have arthritis and want a REALLY easy way of growing and want to start your plants off directly....I will gladly help you. I am not sure what you feed? But would like to recommend trying a SIP container. I make my own for my smaller strains and use Earthboxes for my larger strains. The ease of these SIPs make growing a lot less work. Just water the feeding tube. You wont overwater, they have overflow holes. I can have your plants growing crazy fast. Check out these Sour Cracks on day 15.... they love these home made SIPs.

:greenthumb: Very nice growth indeed! :d5: I think I bought a couple of 3 gallon sip pots by mistake, (I didn't know what they were called). They have open reservoirs for bottom feeding, (I didn't like the open res. so I never used them). Btw, I feed with the original formula of MegaCrop and supplement it with Ancient Earth and Rhino Skin. Every other week they get Superthrive and blackstrap molasses and I feed Bud Explosion during flower! :pass:
