Enough Light.....

I'm just wondering ... is there "enough" light? .... and it opens more questions - can there ever be enough once you've adopted an abundance mentality??

Salutations all....

Good question Princess BLUE*

Can there ever be enough light??? The answer depending on the circumstances is yes-ish and no-ish....

There can be too much for example if carbon dioxide is a limiting factor also if the amount of light is more than the plants photosynthetic pigments can process.... Yes if it is causing bleaching of the leaves.... and probably a few more factors that the King is not knowing of....

And not enough light if the space is under -illuminated for example using a 125w cfl (uuurrrgh) to illuminate a 1.2m square tent... growth would be pretty slow....

However in the kingdom of abundance that the king resides with great ventilation and carbon dioxide enrichment more (to a point) is better....

Though in the Kings estimation most growers probably have carbon dioxide as the limiting factor.... and would probably increase yield with carbon dioxide enrichment...

Any other thoughts (sensible-ish) please chip in

Toodle pip..

Co2 in a small grow
such as mine, is an elusive bitch!
I cant pump enough in because im pumping so much out.
I cant wait to see the #s as you cram feed these girls with carbon and lumens!

Well Sir, you've a collection of the worlds best lighting spectrums and squashed them altogether to make a kings beam.

This is it everyone. A man-made sun in a grow room.

think I may have crossed threads

Salutations.... The King is partial to a bit of cross threading.... keep up the good work....

Salutations all....

The biggest advantage of LED growlights is the less energy they use so I would love to see to try to max the energy your using rather than throwing every light you have at the plant. Getting the max from a light is just as challenging as maxing a plant.

Throwing all at the plants.... now that would be a sight to behold.... with all the lights in the Kings armoury.... Castle Jorilla would be glowing brighter than the sun or even Blackpool promenade in the autumn.... No this grow will be all about the two HS1s...

It's just like with race cars, you don't build a slower one than the last. Go flat out mate! :)

A man made in the image of the King.... I like it....

'tis with great honor and delight that I once again bow before 'ye, oh King, crack up some pop-corn and pull up a wooden stool to station my bum-bum, well below The King's altitude or line of sight of course, as any humble observer peasant should...

"Munch..munch..munch

Welcome to the party Sir Scientist Groff... hope all is well in yonder laboratory...

Subbed, of course!
I'd like to see the light maxed out, I think we're mostly all curious about that, and Mr ganjamoto is certainly the man to do it. After all, I think the whole auto world knows he can can grow trees whenever he wants...but the LED watts/gram record, now that's a trophy! My two bits...

And what would the current record be my good man?

I would love to see how much you could get off the 75w bro if anyone can get 4 grams per watt from an Auto you can with your super dialled in skillz.

Mmmmh 4g per watt would that be a record?....

Pump it in my man.... the ladies will still get the benefit and perform for you.....

Good things come to those with patience and an abundance mentality....

Any way please remember the King is a novice when it comes to the utilisation of the disco light technology.... Ha ha Mr Tang your brain will be getting picked.....

:tiphat:

ps Photo update soon...

It would indeed be interesting to find out what the maximum yield under a single 75w LED is. I think 75 grams should be easy and the bare minimum.

Sounds like it would be an interesting experiment! Iy try that in the future.I've got a DIY LED growlight made of 15 watt LED spotlights that works very well 5 of them would give me about 50 true watts...hmm..

Sire, I got 2x CO2 mycelium bags in my tent, that I have absolutely no clue if are working or not 'cos I dont have a ppm meter in my lab (yet). But I went from day 0 'till last week (day 40) with zero exhaust, in very small interior room. I've never done that before, at best the opposite to get fresh air in (out with 02, in with new C02). Only turned it on, on minimum setting, because the smell is starting to escape. From everything I've read, CO2 is primarily effective if in a isolated environment.

How does Your Lordship combine CO2 with exhaustion? Inverted timers?

I would think 150w of LED is abundant enough for the Kings mentality ^_^

I've been thinking about your CO2 enrichment dilema ... the one that didnt get mentioned (lol). The question could be, how will the king get the room warm enough to make CO2 effective .... and how will the CO2 be delivered to plants.

Where can we get an abundance of CO2 at knock down prices??

Something new for the grow room mr Jorilla! ^_^

Salutations....

the Kings method for enrichment utilises bottled co2 and the excellent Unis controller from DP electronics.....

the King sets the volume setting to the next setting up from the actual grow room (tent) volume and usually has the gas injecting into the intake fan if used... the extraction vents into the room where the tent is situated (which can have issues regarding warm humid air so a dehumidifier is used to remove excess moisture.... and heat exchange passively with the rest of Castle Jorilla)..

the tent is usually ventilated with a mixture of passive and active intake so the gas lost on extraction is given the chance of another pass through the tent.... Ventilation rate is controlled via the DP electronics Evolution controller.... the King also has the DP co2 controller and IR co2 analyser though the King has never got round to setting them up and using them....

Even if gas is lost the plants are going to do better than with no enrichment.... the King focuses on the benefit of enrichment rather than the fact co2 may be lost nor maximally efficiently utilised...

Focus on the benefit.....

the King has used natural enrichment methods and they do work however bottled is best if available....
