:2cents::peace:When you add a small piece of orange peel or apple in the jar the buds will absorb some of the moisture an rehydrate,I have done this before on some old weed I had stored for over a year and it helped alot. You can even give the jar a quick spray of clear water. This procedure is just used in an emergency if you dryed your buds out too much.If you feel its not write just smoke dry weed.

This is what Simon wrote about that....

Below 55% RH - the RH is too low for the curing process to take place. The product starts to feel brittle. Once you've hit this point, nothing will make it better. Adding moisture won't restart the curing process, it will just make the product wet.

And you dont want a wet product, you want a curing product.

And thats just not true. If the buds get to dry, then they are to dry. Bringing moist to the jar do just that, brings moist to the jar, not the weed.
This is why it is so inportant to do the drying and curing correct or else you can destroy all that weed you grow fpr so long in just a couple of days. DONT ever over dry your buds.

ah but... if the weed is drying too quick in the open air and the outside is going crispy then it's better to use the jars to let the moisture rebalance from the stems back into the bud itself. no? otherwise the the rest of the bud will overdry well before the stems are dry enough to be brittle. I have used this technique when the buds are drying too quick, putting them out to dry for 12-24 hours then jarring up for 12-24 hours. slows the drying process down and makes them dry much more evenly. (bear in mind tho that i'm not saying this is in anyay "curing" the weed, it's just an option to slow the "drying" part of the process) Then cure them as normal... Jarred up most of the time with Daily "Burping" lol

I do that to, jar the buds "to early" sometimes, depending on the season here in Sweden. We get some really low humidity times here. I jar the buds with a humidity meter and open the jars when it go over 75%, wich will happen real fast if the buds have a lot of moist in them. The i open and close the jars only by going after the reading on my meter. Its so easy one just cant fail.

Only way to go wrong is to let your buds dry out to much, wich is really hard if you ask me.

I'm somewhere with awkward seasons too, but usually due to too high humidity causing bud rot too easily. It's even out in my garden this year cos its been so bad. It's all good fun tho ey. It'd be boring if there werent things to overcome! :)

Is it deep in the bud or on the edges of it

It seemed to be on the little leaves which protect the buds. I think some buds where not as dry as others. The hygrometer as been ordered which is the right way to go, as guess work for an inexperenced grower can be tricky. I have had my jewelers loop and can't see any more mold just lots of trichs. I think I caught it early enough before the mold could really get to work. i seem to put so much effort and research in growing and seem to neglect the drying and curing stage which is equally important.
