Okay so this is my story. Dried out the buds for 5 days, then into jars burping them for an hour or so every day for about a week. At this point the buds seemed nice and dry and ready for storage. Checked on them once a week for signs of mold and gave them a shake. Checked them this morning and random buds had tiny bits of white fuzz. Whats happened? and what should I do?

Apparently they weren't completely dried. Take them out and stick them in some brown paper lunch bags for another few days.

Last time I overdried my buds and they where too crsipy and smoked harsh. So this time I wanted to keep a little moisture in to get the smooth smoke and keep a close eye. Am gonna have to dry them out good and proper. But my second question is, are they okay to smoke? There is no moldy smell from the jars (quite fruity really) just small visual bits of fuzz on some of the buds, which was carfully removed.

:smokebuds:Five days is to early to put in jars.Even if the outside of the buds feel crispy there is still a lot of moisture inside the nugs. They should be checke every day when you put them in jars.If they get to dry just put a little orange peel or a small piece of apple in the jar for a day or so and they will be fine.Just don't forget to take them out after the weed is rehydraded.

I wouldn't recommend smoking the molded bud. The mold spores can get into your lungs and cause health issues, especially for anyone with a compromised immune system or who has mold allergies. I save any molded bud and do a water cure on it, then usually make oil with it.

And thats just not true. If the buds get to dry, then they are to dry. Bringing moist to the jar do just that, brings moist to the jar, not the weed.
This is why it is so inportant to do the drying and curing correct or else you can destroy all that weed you grow fpr so long in just a couple of days. DONT ever over dry your buds.
