The breeder is The Medicine Man... This is not "unknown" lol idk why Cres says that. I have the possible family tree somewhere too ill look. This is also not "unknown" in theory... There is no DEFINITE known tree that I know of... I'll look real quick and brb...

Hey, Peeps :bighug:

I just put 6 regular "MOBshine" into coco :greenthumb: They came from a breeder FIVE MILES FROM ME:coco: The Honest Herb Company :cool1:

The Gent says its a cross of MOB and an Aurora cut that he's been working with. I need to give him a visit and see where the MOB hails from:coffee:

:smokeout::bighug::headbang:

... :smoking: I found the original thread for MOB's development! It's here now,...

:woohoo1: Waximate, what a score! I had Aurora Indica (Nirvana) once actually, super fine bud! ... There's an Aurora B too,...(Flying Dutchman)

...Also, a while back, I ran into this: https://oaseeds.com/en/6013-th-seedbank-mob.html .... Makes you wonder, huh! :eyebrows:

StickMan

How are you Old Friend?

It really looks like you are busy busy. Nice. We planning on Movinn' to Co. this winter, so next year I can grow big.

For now, a 2x2 and a 3x3 tent, so to restore my stock I have to be very selective.

Will be nice to follow along here, keep up the good worx.

:smokeout:

:thanks:
How are you Old Friend?
So nice to see you my friend. Both my wife and my health seems to keep declining. My poor wife has and continues to have so many things wrong with her physically. I just wish I could take her pain upon myself.

Yes, I have been very busy with gardening these days. Wanting to try to make better meds to provide other med patients and providers..

That is wonderful that you and Root are moving to Co. Looking foward to see what you grow there.
Please let me know via PM if there is ANYTHING I can do to help or provide you with new stock. I have a very large genetic library these days, and always expanding.

It will be great to have you along. It is like old home week here.
:smoking: yeah, the green pheno' is more potent from feedback I've heard from other growers too,... As you know, Cres wasn't after the purple at all, in fact, I think he dislikes purple strains in general- how ironic!
Stick, decode that AOF for us? .... oh, wait, is that Aunt of Farouk? :eyebrows: -- nice! I look forward to seeing how they turn out.... Viking too! :greenthumb:
:headbang: Waxi, I know, right? :eyebrows:
I will find out here shortly how potent the green/whites are versus the purple. But like I said only one purple pheno/geno this round, so not a real good test. More purples will be found and worked for those that love purple.

For those that do not know of Aunt of Farouk, even though i will be starting a thread here shortly on them, here is the information from the Danish Breeder/seed preservationist that I received the seeds from (Lala a.k.a Bald Monkey of Bald Monkey Seeds). I know these are the real deal. As we know some seed sellers are not all that honest. My friend Lala, does not preserve any line that he does not know exactly where they came from.

Derg Corra Collective - Aunt of Farouk

Aka: Wild Pakistan

The seeds were given to me by Lala's friend Farouk over the last 40 years. He had collected them in a small village behind his aunt and uncle's house. Lala has smoked the hash from the village a couple of times, and it hits hard. There might be a hint of some indian sativa in these but we're not sure. When Farouk asked his uncle he just says, that they sow, harvest and smoke. He has his stash in his backyard and thats all that counts for him.

The seeds were made with open pollination, so there should be multiple phenotypes hiding in there for the treasure hunter, including a berry pheno.

AOF prefers to be grown the organic way... as they do in pakistan, and you should keep an eye on the top leaves for too much N... They might claw pretty fast and in that case you should use clean water the next couple of times you are feeding.

Mostly Indica
Smell: From berries to burnt rubber
Taste: Earthy, sweet, hashy
Flowering: 9-10 weeks

Genetics: Wild Pakistani strain

I perfer the green pheno's my self they just seem to have more kick than the purples

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your 'test' results with us.

Hey bruddas!! I have a small stash of MOB I've been wanting to drop but can't til mid August. And I WILL be dropping them in mid August!

I have been struggling with this because as some of you know... I am a STAUNCH supporter of Regular stock. I don't really like the feminized only. But two things... One not really anything I/We can do about that at this point as there is not a 100% solid family tree on girl to start from scratch and even then... We don't know the original selection process so... Lol not an option... And crossing it is cool but still not straight up MOB.

So I'm probably going to break down and try feminizing it when I do run it. I'm just not keen on using the last of my stock, knowing there's no more stock, to do something I've never done before. Nor am I willing to give them away to be femmed... So its either I do it or it doesn't happen...

Now I can't remember exactly but if I did get a white/green pheno it was only once or twice. I've had every shade of color from dirty purple-gray to pink... Violet, dark purple, purple... Dirty pink. Color varies but the terp profile remains fairly stable. There is a cedar/berry pheno I would KILL to stabilize/isolate. Then there's a grape pheno that when cures tastes like candied grapes OMG its to die for lol.

This strain cannot die... It simply cannot. I've been told that a certain breeder it was given to from the original breeder (the medicine man) said it was a "shit strain". Which immediately made my jaw drop. Out of every "rare" strain I've ever gotten my hands on... I would have to say MOB is far... If not another universe far! Away from a "shit strain". It may not be the crazy soaring insane sativa it was hoped to be... However it is an above average feel amazing strain that not only has that coveted feel like a million bucks effect... It has a rare equally coveted terpene profile that for pot snobs like my wife, is incomparable in taste. I would concur lol

MOB WILL NOT DIE!!!

I will drop some pics in here I just have to dig em up...
Thanks for all of the great information my friend. It does indeed sound like you have grown more MOB than anyone I/we know. Interesting all the colors you have ended up with, and I get one purple pheno/geno.

Yes, I know what you mean about everyone making fems, and most making fem only stock, even some land races. I must say that I am guilty in making fems for others, including myself when running several different sensi strains OD. We know many that can not or will not make the room indoors for sexing out m/f stock.

Rebel, sending all the positive energy that I can in your fem project. Do not fear, MOB WILL NOT DIE on my watch. It is a top priority for me, even with all of the other projects I have going. I like you are not doing this to sell, but rather so that others may enjoy this strain as much as you and all others who have tasted it have a chance to grow it. I/we look forward to seeing your pictures when you find them and have time to share them.

Our good friend @Waira found the original MOB thread here at AFN along with the last post that Cres posted on this thread. Here is the link and his last post concerning MOB.https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...ine-man-08-18-2012.11251/page-43#post-1514543

I had 8 seeds from TMM. Out of these 8 seeds half were purple, with half of those very dark to near black, the other 4 were green to lavender colored, Original mob clone from ME was not colored.(green pheno). The green has the best potency, but in the S2 potency was way better spread as I selected the most potent pheno when I self'ed the strain for the S2. I chose a lavender colored pheno, pics are here somewhere. IMO this strain should be breed to lavender not purple for one its the direction I chose, with is one F cycle closer to homo. Now the background... I feel this strain was definitively part DP purple skunk from the 90s, its the only strain from the time period where that high gloss purple/black was present, the fruity flavor that is in ALL phenos might be DJ's blueberry it would explain the rare hermi late nanner, as the blueberry was a carrier, and maybe very prone to throwing them at any PH above 7. As some of you know my well water is ph 9.55 and the second I water most strains with it plain the bust a nut late on. The nutter rate at this point seems to be somewhere between 1 in 20-50 seeds, not bad but not great. If clone stress testing was done now at S2 then by S3 it might be 1 in 50-100, because each F-stop mean 50% more homo.

Thanks again Waira for digging this thread up for us!

Thanks all my friends for stopping by and adding all of the great information.:worship:

Sweet, look forward to watching these grow up. Where will you document them? The (MOB x OGK( Tahoe Cut) x F99auto F2s I made has the real MOB in it.
Here is a picture of the mom to this cross grown in 2015. I added the F99auto from a stellar male I found. A friend of mine that I met on here years ago, was a Guerilla Grower in the UK. He liked this strain so well, that he made F2s last season. He then decided to get out of growing completely, and sent me all of his seeds, knowing that I am trying to help people with what I am doing. Quite a catalog of seeds to say the least. Some real gems to work with.

yeah this should be a nice ride. Never had the pleasure but im sure as hell in to watch
So glad to have you here my good friend. Hopefully some day you will have a chance to grow, or at least partake of some flowers. Another project that I would like to begin working on, and that is to make a MOB auto. Thinking that the BudWider might be the auto genetics to add and work into full auto.

Peace

Can't remember whose thread we were talking about CBG's Purple Peyote, but it looks like Stick has some en-route from a friend of mine in Poland. He says that even though they are regs, that 90% end up being females. Stick will be working with them and reproducing them. . He already send me PP x Maple Leaf Indica, and PP x Shaman, but will be nice to have pure PP. MOB x PP, should be a stellar cross, as well as ALF#5 x PP, I'm a thinking.

Peace
