I was obsessed with Purple strains for a while, most recent being dark devil and devils cream. The strange thing I found with most of them is the smell when dry compared with the smell once cured was night and day. Most would smell or taste kind of piney or earthy and then after a couple weeks of curing would become extremely fruity, hopefully that will be the case here.

Thanks dudes, @YourMumsNewFella I really hope that's the case. I mean they've only just gone in the jars really so I'm probably fretting over nothing but i've not had much luck with purps so far. I don't think it helps that i'm comparing it to the 4 Assed Monkey which is quite frankly the best smelling weed I've ever come across and it's not even cured yet. It makes Pineapple Express smell like a loaf of bread next to it. Even in the jars the whole room smells of it. Not that I'm complaining of course.

DAY 56

FxS is really starting to stack now and putting on a bit of weight. Now that I've remembered she's in the tent, she's thanking me for it.

She's hungry and seems to be taking everything I chuck at her which makes me think it might be worth adding some Canna PK13/14. I'd estimate another 14-20 days for her to finish. Might have missed the window. Let me know what you guys reckon? Seems to have a good clayx to leaf ratio but more wouldn't hurt!

Little lower beginning to show orange pistils

Frost has increased and the odour has both doubled and got sweeter. Definitely showing her haze heritage in the smell now along with a fruity sweetness, not quite grape but something fruity. By looks and smell I'd say she was leaning more towards the Fantasmo Express side of things but with a touch of sweetness from the Sour Stomper.

Not really my usual kind of smoke as I tend to think I dislike Haze strains, but I'm definitely looking forward to twisting one up and hopefully getting proven wrong!

Trichomes are already looking milky and very abundant but she looks a way off still.

She's been an absolute delight to grow, just a really fun and rewarding strain to watch. Really happy I have another bean left!

DAY 63

Thought I'd get the real camera out and take some pics of the FxS this evening. She's such a beautiful plant I wanted to capture it with a little more care than I have been doing so far.

I've never done this before so I'm leaning and my lens isn't great for close shots but what do you reckon? I think I prefer the darker shots...
I'd like to get a bit of a style going with them and keep them uniform, so whilst the darker shots arent as good for actually seeing the buds, I just think they look so much nicer and you still get the idea right?

Just figured it was a good way to combine both my hobbies I guess. Some of them are a bit wobbly as the light's not great in my room and as I said - first go!

Please do let me know whether you prefer the brighter set or the darker ones, I'm torn!

P.s I much prefer the brighter pics, I think it's hard to see true structure in the poorer lighting but it really shows of her density and frost in the better lighting.

I felt pretty self conscious about posting them for some reason but like it was time to up my game with the imagery. I have no excuse and my other main love is photography, so it made sense to make more of an effort to combine the two. Hopefully I can improve things and keep some continuity.

I'm gonna try and find a way to fine tune them and land somewhere in the middle as I agree with Medi that the brighter pics show off the buds much better and are better for seeing the plants in general, but I quite like the aesthetic of the darker ones. Kinda moody and mysterious lol!

Well, I'm encouraged enough to keep at it, so we'll see... maybe after I've splashed out on a Telos LED I'll manage to scrape some cash together for a macro lens. I'd love to be able to shoot the trichomes but I reckon that'll be a pretty serious lens and outside of my hobbiest budget.
