New Grower Mephisto Strawberry Nuggets, 4 Assed Monkey & Fantasmo Express x Sour Stomper

So what I do if things are drying too quickly - most likely due to central heating, even if the room you put the buds in is cooler the lower humidity caused by dry heat sources will still suck the moisture out of the outside of the bud. Spent a bit of time researching why my bud doesn't dry evenly like others and pretty sure that's why.

What I did to compensate is air dry a few days, then snip down the buds and all in one bug paper bag that you only open quickly once a day to check. Still things dried quickly but I compensated by only drying till stems are almost snappy and popped it into the jar, whereon if the humidity is a bit high 30 mins out the jar every day or two seems to make them perfect

What about throwing in some Boveda packs in that paper bag? Wouldnt that bring up humidity for a longer dry without it getting too humid?

i've seen people comment on how "clean" a high Mephisto girls give...i think i'm inclined to agree. nice to know that their indicas, grown properly, will make for some good meds. so many strains out there i want to grow it's actually stressful making the decisions.

i'm gonna go with hanging the Tangie and dry trimming this time. i enjoyed wet trimming but i do think they dried out on the fast side, but once they got jarred up i actually struggled a little bit to get them down to 62...in fact i still catch the CDLC jars at 63% quite often even with a couple of 62 Boveda stuffed in there.
pretty anxious about drying the Tangie. just hangin' it in my loft would be amazing but it's no doubt too cold...i'll have to stick a gauge up their at the weekend to see if it'd be viable.

Really got to get the bovedas for my jars man, for now Im just curing old school by scent and test and have to trust my instincts since I've cured plenty of street bud. Even rehydrated some really dry and harsh a little and made it super nice after a month or two.

With these bigger plants I need to invest in some tho!

Seems like a decent idea, only way to tell would be to try! Don't see why that wouldn't work nicely.

Just need to get them now!

Thanks dude!

So now they're in the jars they seem like they're perfect actually... I was surprised how crisp the exteriors became in such a short space of time but they seem to be evening out pretty quickly. Dare I say they might be edging towards slightly too moist now which is my preference at this stage. Much easier to take out than put it back in. Bovedas havent turned up yet either, so I'm hoping the jars don't get too dry before they arrive.

I barely use the CH and it doesn't go on in that room at all but yeah, i guess it just dries out the air throughout the whole house a little.

Had a nug of the 4AM last night and whilst it's a touch harsh right now, the flavour is off the chart. It's an electric buzz and much more sativa-y than I'd expected which tails off into a long lasting body stone. The smell is fantastic, the fruity sweets is still at the forefront but a bit more of the barnyard funk is coming through now. Very tasty indeed. I felt a bit scrambled but a cure will smooth it out. I've also got a cold coming on so that's not helped my ability to give a fair review.

I'll follow up with proper dry weights now they're all trimmed up. I'd guess about 4 oz from the 4AM, 3 from the purps SN and a little less from the green.

The green one was the toughest to trim (although they were all very easy) and has the airier buds but by far the stickiest. The two phenos are like completely different strains.

Very little trim from these so I've dumped it all in a container together and will run it through some bubble bags, maybe later today if I can find everything...

I'll give the green SN a few rips later on too and report back :pass:

They're deserving of the hype tbh. Wish they were a little cheaper on these shores but they are worth it never the less.

Trust man, I mean I can cure without them, we have been doing it that way for ages now, I never even heard of bovedas till recently but it would be nice for a little consistency but I have more important things on my mind like doubling my lighting with a 600w marshydro Eco panel. Was going to get cobs but I've been getting great results with these panels so I thought the more expensive stuff can wait till my birthday lol

I'm going to focus on learning how to grow and cure and the battles and then I'll get all these pesky little things that I want but are dear here

Your buds sound lush man, very jealous of the green SN, love slightly light but sticky buds

I hear you! There's always plenty to buy and Bovedas aren't essential. They're probably of more use after a few weeks curing anyway.

Everything's tightly trimmed and in for the cure now.

FxS is going strong. Will update with pics later on.

4AM has given the sweetest smelling, smoothest smoking, most potent and heaviest yielding of the lot with a respectable 119.17g (4.2oz)
The green SN is at 108.24g (3.8oz)
Last (and least) is the purple SN at 88.23g (3.1oz)

Over 11oz on across the three smallest plants I've ever grown, not bad! Obviously the purple would have been heavier if it's main colas hadn't been lost to rot but I've got no complaints. Clearly got enough left to last some time.

Purple's not as strong as I'd like it to be, but it's fine. It's a great high, just gotta smoke a little more than usual. Buds are very dense though.

4AM is my absolute favourite but it's a bit racy right now, i think a cure will mellow it out as happened with the Tangie. Seems to be more needed with anything over around 40% sativa. She's given out some very pretty buds, nice and dense and honestly the smell is fantastic.

Boveda's havent turned up yet so they're all in Kilner jars as they are now getting burped daily. The moisture levels seem pretty perfect on them but i don't have anything to measure it with. I'll order some of the little LED wotsits this week after payday.

DAY 54

I totally neglected the FxS for a few days and she's not too bothered.

Got caught up in the harvest excitement and forgot to feed her when I should have. TBH her whole life has been a bit of an afterthought, but that just proves what an easy strain she is to grow. No complaints at all, not a peep out of her for weeks now.

She looks pretty much perfect to me. Very nice size, nice structure and just looks like a classic cannabis plant. Very sativa in leaves, stature and bud development.

Not the frostiest, but decent. Not the smelliest, but quite nice and totally different to anything I've grown before. Smells like rubber and pencil shavings to me. I'd like that get a bit sweeter to suit my tastes but I've got no complaints whatsover.

Buds feel very dense but tall, thinner sativa spears. Lots of them though and that's the main thing. I reckon she'll go quite a while, so plenty of time to fatten up.

I could look at her all day, really happy with her. Due to travel plans, she'll get chopped in just under a month so I'm crossing my fingers that it's enough time.

Could be a nice smoke and one I probably wouldn't choose to grow usually. Looking forward to adding her to the collection.
