Indoor Mephisto & AutoPots

Your right, auto pots HELP us grow monsters by increasing our control of the plant's environment. And its not just the grower and the genetics. A garden is a system made up of all the variables involved, air, water, light, nutrients, humidity, the room or tent, and the gardener. Each variable including the gardener affects the outcome. Its the simplicity and functionality of auto pots that leads us to say, auto pots grow monsters. And if your doing everything right, you can assign credit wherever you wish!

Yes. That makes total sense to me.

You know I just dont think they are that simple TBH. I think its more complicated and more work to use them compared to manual watering. Or maybe not more work. Maybe just about the same amount of work. I'm not a fan of cleaning and maintaining all the AP gear.

there you go you sound like a bit of a troll theres my proof both 8oz girls now show me yours

Are you on staff here? I'm surprised you think a picture proves anything if you're actually any good at this hobby. Posting some random picture proves what exactly? I did a comparison test. Thats real data. Until you can do likewise, don't stalk me.

Autopots don't make plants bigger. End of story. You want to argue with Pop22 as well?

there not random pics both have my name on pop never called me out you did and hes helped me on many of occasions i was just advising the lady about her res height :pass: and what do you mean stalk me your strange pal i will just move on

No more work than a DWC/RDWC setup. And if you grow organic there is no cleanup. feeding nutes now, all I clean are my bases and lines, the res every other grow. My pots have had the same soil in the for more than a year and a half so no cleanup there. How can filling a res once a week be more work than lugging a bucket around, stooping and bending, and hand watering? Hell, i don't even lug solution to my res, i pump it! Nope, i use to do that hand watering thing, even in my greenhouse. My conclusion was it was a waste of time. Auto pots and a drip system in the greenhouse has saved me a LOT of work.

Yes. That makes total sense to me.

Not true dude. You also replied to my post, you were not just helping the lady out. you said you didn't agree with me. So you took the first leap in to the fray on this. And pop22 said that I'm right, not you. And I documented a test, more or less. You don't have any evidence that autopots grow bigger plants. So this appears to be the end of this debate. Lets just move on.

One more thing. your pic isn't "random". I mean it's just a picture that proves nothing. Seemed kind of weird you would think that is evidence of your side of the argument.

Ya'll don't start fighting in here, or I'll have to use my mod powers for the first time to clean it up :baghead:
I just asked for some tips and hints, not if AP's suck sweaty donkey balls or are the greatest thing since sliced bread.
My comment on small plants was because I had issues at the beginning of my grow.
I've grown in soil, soilless, in hydroponics now I'm trying AutoPots.
I've grown with CFL, T5HO, HPS, and now LED.
Why?
Because I get bored easy and I learn more as I grow, and technology has changed over the last decade; also, I could spend hours a day in my room, sometimes I do, and I want to simplify at least ONE tent.
I'm used to the workload of cleaning and maintaining my hydroponics, but I love it and can't go back. I have a 3X3 Haze plant that is almost 3 feet high and it got there super fast, I couldn't get those results with my soilless grows, although now? Maybe I could.
Lunar, I understand why you hate autopots, and I understand why others love them. I'm going to decide for myself what I think based on what I see after I run them a few times, in various configurations including an organic soil grow,
People are fine to share opinions just tone it down please, I've almost died several times in my life and I just can't fathom getting upset over something on the internet, but that's just me. Watching my friend dying from cancer, twisted up in agony screaming for someone to kill her, now that upsets me.
Why am I sharing these WAY TMI moments?
Perspective my friends, now lets all :pass:and chill.

I have mine on a set of drawers its outside my tent and I've not had any problems and I've used them the last few years and ive grown absolute monsters you will be suprised View attachment 1027920

Thank you for your input, the drawers are a great idea. Mine is on a chair right now that I thought was too high, but it works and I can stash one of my 2.5 gallon buckets under it.

I actually like your no-nonsense approach to posting your opinions Lunarman but it gets some peoples hackles up. Hell, you could tell me I grow shit plants and my setup sucks even more donkey balls :smoking: and I wouldn't even blink. I got some friends that are rough as hell and I've heard a lot worse about more serious shit in real life to be offended.

But like I said, ya'll :pass:something and chill

i would use any box i had handy just as long as its a little higher i dont think it would matter if it was much higher i just wanted to keep my res out of my tent so my piping stays in my zip on the door i run a tube heater in that was so its no problem it still closes nice

I keep my reservoirs outside of my tents as well to control temps, and I don't have even an inch to spare in them anyway! I run my lines in the doors too, but I may do what someone suggested in another thread; cut a flap and attach velcro to secure it (Like the vents that are already on the tents) to run through the sides. But it's not a big deal as is.
