.: Day 74 :.
Things at operation hurry up and wait are running smoothly these days, I can't even really justify this post but for future readers I thought some explanation for the gap between posts might help. Yesterday was the last water and I did a very thorough flush with 2.5 liters per pot. The runoff was around 6.5 so apparently getting away from the bottles is the key to happy plants and happy growers :-D At least for me. Needless to say I won't be using Biobizz any more, I've relegated what I have left to vegetable growing. For context I suspect the chelates in Topmax have been a big part of the problems I was dealing with when I switched to Biobizz. I know a bunch of other people have had great success with them, but it's not for me.
On the topic of nutrients, I've ordered some cocogro and some red wigglers and picked up a tub that I'll be turning into a vermiculture bin when it all comes in so I'll be making my own worm castings!! I'm pretty excited, some of you may think I'm nuts but I've been enjoying my soil endeavors at least, if not a little more than growing. When all the components to make organic soil go together they smell pretty awful to me, but then it melds, composts, mellows, and within a week it smells like the cleanest most pure smell in the world. They need to make air fresheners that smell that good!!
So anyway the girls are both doing great, Thing 1 is rock hard, has a nice pungent and sweet smell, and is frosty as all get out while Thing 2 is fluffier, smells like a combination of coffee and oil, and is at least 3 or 4 days behind Thing 1 in terms of trichome production. Speaking of trichomes Thing 1 has picked up the pace on turning the trichs white, though it isn't all the way there. Also I've just started to see the calyxes come through in the last week or so. All in all things are going smoothly and progressing well. I can't help but wonder though if Noob was close to the mark when he said a month, I'm thinking 3 weeks, but at the time I thought more like 2, but I don't know Thing 2 may go the whole 4 from when he said that. Anyway I've made you all sit through a long enough wall of text, I'm going to throw up a bud shot at 20X as well as a trichome shot at much higher though I'm not sure because I used both a lens and a digital zoom. Hope you're all busy growing giant knock out nugs!! Peace.
