This is Germination Eve and I'm getting my final thoughts together for this grow. I have all my supplies and I'm eager to get going. It really sucks that in a free country a person can not grow their own natural meds. BIG PHARM ugh! [emoji867]Anyway....so here's what I'm thinking.

Gonna germ in grow plug on heated grow mat.

Soil:

OF and HF 40/40 Perlite 20

I have a Ancient Forest soil amendment for some reason lol What can I do with this? Do I need it? Late night Amazon order lol

Cash Crop Grow Box:

Want to start my autofems in solo cups then transfer to 3 gallon fabric pots. < Is this okay or just start in 3 or 5 gallon pot.


Closet set up:

I have two lights. 400W and 600W MH and HPS Of I start the girls in solo cups under CFLS for two weeks wouldn't I just start on HPS?

Gonna do 18/6 from start

Inline fan with charcoal filter

Have some Mylar sheeting that I can put up around the reflector if need be

nutes I'll be searching for a feeding schedule. Surely the geniuses here have written one up lol

I have several strains of all autos that I want to try. I will hopefully let you vets chime in and pick to strains and we can get a consensus. Here are the choices.

Decisions decisions...Hopefully we can get a good mix of strains. Also thinking maybe experimenting with soil. Maybe OF with perlite, Happy Frog with perlite, 40/40/20 OF HF Perlite. Any thoughts ? Read about putting coco at the bottom layer? Any truth?

The one from your list I'm looking forward to trying most myself is the Afghan Kush Ryder. I find 3 plant under a 600W is enough for me but before I had any idea of how big they'd get I went with more.....only one way to find out how many is too many for you lol. 6ish sounds like more than enough to me though

I've grown both the sweet tooth and quick one before. AAMOF just this last grow. They were 2 of the 3 which gave me a 34.1 ounce harvest in DWC. I really like the quick one, very pungent smelling.

Looking at my records, RQS Quick One Automatic, harvested 88 days from sprout in dwc. Dried bud put away for cure...244g. I took her the earliest of any of my autos. Nice, but I wish I had let her go a bit longer. The Barney's Farm Sweet Tooth Auto went 367g in 123 days also dwc. Veg was 600w hps, bloom was 1K hps.

So guys think I'm gonna go for 6-8 plants. I have a 400 and 600 watt hps. Is this a suitable amount of plants or can I do more? Germed then directly into 3 gallon fabric pots.

I was thinking of doing 3-4 soil mixtures. Thoughts? Have OF and HF, perlite and Ancient Forest amendment.

Possible mixes:

80/20 OF & Petlite

80/20 HF & Perlite

40/40/20 OF, HF & perlite

What can I do with the Ancient Forest?

I read about putting coco or something at the bottoms of the pots? Any truth?

Any suggestions or changes are okay with me. This is going to be a good opportunity for me to learn and with my seed variety for us to see some of these strains in action. I'm excited and hope I can get a lot of feedback. Need my meds. Tired of docs trying to forcefeed me pharm meds that have side effects worse than the disorder.
