Indoor MedCzech’s ManCave

Day 24 continues on…

Mango Smile x 3BOG has more squatty structure due to her OG roots. Suck good smoke though. One of my favorites from the last run. We shall see how she does this time around.

DE5018A5-6778-44D7-A974-26E04825FEAA.jpeg

The Grand Daddy Purple x Gumberry is being wrapped around the trellis. She looks cool already. Can wait to see how she turns out. Could be colorful stuff:kiss:

SB Cheesecake looking short too, but very healthy growth. Leaf tucking is working.
00538ED0-4D7A-4D0D-9727-373863CFAFFF.jpeg

The little Auto Lemon in her 2 gallon pot. Going to be a good one I bet! Lemon Haze never lets you down with flavor and terps!

CD230E18-B069-40A3-91BE-F70DA8539A37.jpeg

Let’s not forget the youngsters. Lila 3, the Double Grape x Sour Stomper looks happy, but I little brittle, that’s why I turned up the RH a little in the room. There is more airflow than when the first batch was at this stage. Needs more moisture!

BF74578F-5C86-4BD9-9336-459524AA0B0B.jpeg

Leija 1, the Strawba the Hutt quite stretchy, let’s see how her two sisters of the same strain do. I am running three of these this run. SB Nuggets and Skywalker should be an awesome combination. Amazing lineage on her!

9DD00D47-DD9F-4322-AFB9-80F70F8BC583.jpeg

Two of the youngsters only three days old, the 4 ass monkey x Walter White and Jammy Dodgers #2. All good right now. Lights at around 300-325 ppfd.

The two little day 1 babies still need a touch higher RH and lower light, the domes help do that.

Just tied the Double Grape down more. She is trying to stretch up a little too. :naughtystep:

Day 26 MedCzech’s ManCave

I actually did nothing and have nothing planned for today. The girls all looked good and pots seemed heavy enough to skip a day on watering. I just upped the watering dosage, so that’s understandable.

Looking great though for the most part. Unfortunately, the three plants that got planted into the soil that had the odd bag out, an organic soil mix different from the rest, they don’t look great. I tested the soil ph and we are good there, but not sure what the issue is just yet.

Everyone else is fine!

Training is really working. Lowers are starting to raise up to same level as mains on some of them already.

Mephisto’s Wedding looking ok though…

The little Lemon Auto doing well in her pot.

In two or three days, they are scheduled to get their first top dress. Diatomaceous Earth, worm castings, Mychorrizea, and some dry amendments from Dr. Earth are what’s for dinner.
After top dressing the Mango Smile, I can see some microbial life and mold on the soil, that means it’s all working good. More good microbes is a good thing!

Thanks for stopping in.:thanks:

Day 27 MedCzech’s ManCave

All quiet, but cruising along nicely. Unfortunately the last bag of soil I used, which was different (because I couldn’t get the other stuff) turned out to be some bad soil. The three plants in those pots don’t look very good. I tried to top dress them with some worm castings, diatomaceous earth, and Mychorrizea to see if I can get some good microbial life going and save them. Due to time, I will not be able to start over and germinate more. But if a bummer, but it’s my fault for using an unknown soil.

Here is the garden!

Starting to react to training well. Many lowers at same level as main now and that’s when they take off. Hopefully the stretch will hit soon. Don’t want them to get too big.

Gut her twisted around it to help control her height. The lowers are already at main height in most places. They have already been tied down too!

This Mango Smile is really liking this method and training well.:naughtystep:
FE96A33A-BC3B-4056-9121-9EBA97FEFCA6.jpeg

You can see from underneath how she is trained. Not tough to do at all, but leaf tucking takes diligence. You need to try to stay on top of opening up the bud sites. This style can produce very nice harvests and hero canopy lower. I have plenty of space, so wider is better than taller, and I want more yield from each plant. This style generally can yield up to 30% more if done correctly.

Thanks for stopping by. :thanks:

Very nice @MedCzech Shame about the poor soil but i'm sure you'll still get a decent harvest with your skills.

You're making want to crack a Mango Smile on the next run. Really enjoyed that along with Hubbabubbahaze.

Yeah, it’s my fault. I was hesitant to use that soil, but was impatient. Hoping I can salvage something from the three. There is enough space, so they will at least get a shot.

Mephisto just has solid strains, that if grown properly come out frosty and flavorful. The Mango Smile looks to have very strong genetics.

I grew a Mango Smile x 3BOG last run, and even with things not dialed in, she was a winner. Tasted like Apple Jacks and had a nice head high where I could get stuff done.

Excited about Mephisto’s Wedding. Heard good things about the terps, plus around 25% thc.

Keep growing it bro:d5:Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Passin one over:pass:

Day 29 MedCzech’s ManCave

Another easy day. Just a little tying down of some secondary growth needed already. The stretch should start up soon. Looks like they are all shaping up to have lots of buds at the main cola level,…which is what we have been shooting for with this technique.

3A4C702C-EA00-4A35-86B6-7F075932A2EF.jpeg

Shuffled them around a little and got taller girls on left side right now. The lights are set up in zones, so just exactly this, when plants get a little taller, they can have their own light zone to control ppfd.

The rest is on track! Thanks again for stopping by:thanks:

Day 30 MedCzech’s ManCave

Stable and cruising along. This environment is so stable, they are just now entering the “stretch” phase. Should be fun. They will get their first defoliation within the next week or so, once we see those white flowers form.

Today, they got opened up a little.Very happy with LST and leaf tucking technique in this grow, as I have stated

I keep moving them around a little. So nice to have such a wide space and the rollers are perfect. No lifting on my back!! Move plants around with ease when I need to work on them. I can just sit on the rocker and do my thing each morning.

Really hoping the GDP x Gumberry isn’t a dude :bummer: Not sure, but these genetics have not been good so far from Sea of Green. I won’t be buying anymore of their seeds. Such a majestic looking plant. They all have been, but one got stunted, and she was the only one that flowered, the rest were male, or just stayed in pre-flower and I had to chop them.

Too bad, she looks amazing with training on the trellis. Hope I am wrong. I will know in next two days or so.

B6762A2B-2F11-492D-8DA3-E8CBEEF8985F.jpeg

Baby Strawba the Hutt from Mephisto here. They should all be good. The environment is stable.

The RH in the ManCave was 65%, perfect when I entered this morning. In two minutes after watering, the RH had risen to 68% and my auto ventilation system kicked in. RH went back down to 65% within 3 minutes. Happy to see it works well. There is another ventilation fan hooked up to the temp controller and vents if it gets too warm as well, definitely a concern later in flower when lights are up.

Watering today on top with 6.4 on the little girls and then 6.5 for the older girls. Remember I am experimenting with adjusting ph slowly, in phases from 6.3 to 6.8 over the length of the grow. It’s supposed to help plants uptake easier the nutrients they need at that time in their grow cycle.

That’s about it for now folks. Thanks for stopping by:thanks:

Day 31 MedCzech’s ManCave

Quick update on the room.

Watered at 6.5 ph bottom feeding for all the big girls and at 6.3 for little ones. Best way to stunt these girls is to let that medium in the bottom be dry.
Room VPD is good for this veg.stage. Soon I will lower RH.

Doubles Grape going to be some good smoke. I wonder which pheno I will get. The gassy grape, spicy grape, or just really fruity like candy grape. All are welcome here, but the fruity grape candy version is my favorite.

I don’t necessarily think it a dude from what I’ve read when the stipules will cross not always but sometime it can be a clue:thumbsup: BTW love the grow room:toke::bow:

Some of the time the stipules (green hair-like growths near where pre-flowers show up) will cross each other on female plants. This certainly doesn’t always happen, as you can see from the pics of female pre-flowers on this page, but while girls can go either way, male plants rarely have stipules that cross each other. So although crossed stipules cannot be used definitively as a way to identify female plants, it can be a small clue to help guide you when you’re not sure. For example, the following female pre-flower doesn’t have a pistil, but the long thin shape combined with the crossed stipules help indicate that this plant is a girl. Whenever in doubt, wait a week and look again!

I am so skeptical because of my experience with this genetic line. Just hoping to grow one of these out. Grand Daddy Purple x Gumberry is supposed to be a super dank, purple strain with terps for days!

This room is my dream economy set up. Still cost a few bucks to put together, but it’s fully automated other than feeding right now and very stable. Thanks for the comment!

Stop in again soon. Hope you like the grow.
