Time definitely helps. I never thought an auto would be in my top 5, lol i love the Mephisto sour livers though. I also have, but haven't tried, sour alien livers, sour orange livers, and bubbly livers. Hopefully i can get those started when i start my sour. Thanks for the warm welcome. Long time member, just been absently lurking since July or August, haven't been able to grow. Just getting back at it now.

Sounds like you have some great strains lined up. All those other versions are still on my TO DO list. The Sour Orange Livers should be spectacular though as well. Both of the strains she is made of, I have run!

It's tough if you are forced away from growing for life reasons, and always a nice sense of rebalance when you can get that part of your life back. It's not the partaking of the meds that is what this medicine and growing it on your own has to offer each person. Taking care and nurturing something where you get direct results and learning that process is therapy in itself for many of us.

Update Day 61 MedCzech's ManCave BioTabs grow

Ok, just a couple days later. These pics taken right after lights on this morning.it is such a beautiful day here with the he sun shining, I felt the need to share with you the continuation of the story.

Five little girls waking up to some nice light, and fresh air...

Good morning y'all... just a great energy in the tent this morning, even though these little things just woke up.


We will try not to disturb them too much. The environment is still pretty steady around 26C or so, RH between 45 on the low end and 60 on the high, but the fans are blowing so much air around, there has never been a spec of dew on the sides of the tent the entire grow. They are getting their PK boost every other feeding now at around 8ml/l and still only the slightest sign of leave tip burn has me thinking these ladies could take more, but I will hang in there. Next grow I will be adding teas the mix.

Let's get in closer...

Who do we have here? I think the Purple Nuggets is relatively easy to recognize at this time in the grow. Good morning my little Purple Monster. Her colors are really starting to pop now. Still some new white pistils there, so that's good news, means she will get bigger still!

Close up on the Sour Livers, just to show off her jewelry and bling...she is a looker.

Here is a shot of the Sour Livers from the side. The few leaves discolored there are just from the radiator, this grow has not had one little deficiency or problem that needed any addressing. No stress

This monster plant is really starting to heat up and do her thing. The resin levels on her buds is off the charts. Looks like little pools of resin sitting in these pockets in her nugs man, she will be crazy good again, and even better than her predecessor.

Well maybe not that famous or anything, but she will be awesome.

Here you can better see the quality of this smoke. Sticky stuff...love the dark emerald green color in her leaves. The trichs are packed full of oils. On the scope, you can see they are bursting and some are really big. I need to get a scope camera for even better close up shots.but, but Med no do good with tech...ok, I may not be the best, but it's more likely that I am just too lazy to do something about it.

Moving on...

The Gorilla Glue is getting thicker and thicker. So sticky, if I even get near her, I can smell that Glue on me. Love it though, it will be one of my favorites I think.

Here is a close up shot of the Glue. Just starting to get a few pistils turning color now. This bud has the most, so I felt like she was begging for a close up. Can't wait to pop her in the pipe someday.

Chem Stomper, the genetic mutant of the bunch. She is trying to give me something. They are frosty and sticky and mostly smell of grape and Chem. Should be very yummy. My little test was very good a couple days back. She tasted lovely.

Again, I thought I would give you a close up of the Chem Stomper, so you can better see her mutant structure. I have had plants like this in the past. Sometimes you will get this, single callyx style mutation, which limits flower potential, as only one, instead of three calyx base. Still, she is trying. They will smoke fine!

Well folks, again that's it for the report this morning. We still have a little bit longer before we start chopping, up the end is near for sure. Parting is such sweet sorrow and this is always the bitter sweet part of growing, but we do grow it so we can partake, not just look at it.

As you know, the colors are even better in person. I will make sure to take a proper picture of each at the end to highlight their individuality and colors in a better light.

Thanks a lot BTW...it's nice to hear praise from someone like you. This grow meant a lot to me for a lot of reasons. BioTabs is it for me...

Two weeks from now should be really cool in the ManCave. Colors, bulk, and aromas should be at their peak!

Getting just a tiny bit antsy for the harvest to get here, but basically all good. It never seems to matter how much good reefer I have in jars,...the new stuff always seems to be better.


The aromas,are,driving me crazy in there. Makes you just want to grab a bud and eat it.

Ok, after another little test, but this time on a nice little nug off each, it is clear,...organically grown weed is better for flavor. The cycle is complete for me, as I had grown in soil and organics to begin with years ago, and then slowly progressed to coco organic, then bubblers, then dwc, then AutoPots with coco and synthetic nutes, and now finally back to organics through the BioTabs system. What a ride that was!!

The flavor from these buds, even though they have been fast dried is spectacular. So much resin and oils, from all the UV, running the veg light all the time.

A WAY TOO EARLY Smoke Report

Chem Stomper- it tastes like the Pixie Stix candy, that's it, nothing else. Just that sweet flavor. It's in the oil as well, because I can taste it even when the pipe is almost spent. I want more of this in my tent. I will grow it again in the fall. I am lucky to have five more seeds of this lady.

Sour Diesel- yeah!! I guess the last test was not an indication...this smoke is crazy good. Sour, sweet, diesel with a hard core fuel after taste. Makes your mouth numb as hell!

Gorilla Glue- Now this phenotype has rocketed to the top 10 best strains. You will see her when she is done,...wow! Good stuff guys. Try to hunt this one down. I will have to order like ten seeds or so and hope I get lucky. It's like Super Indica Skunk Weed from the 80's. The taste took me back to a parking lot in 1986 in one split second...wicked stuff.

Purple Nuggets- sweet red berries-with a gaseous,Fruity aftertaste. I bet she changes a bit after a cure, and also one of those smokes that tastes a littlest different based on what you are drinking or ea ing at the time. I almost always connect partaking into other types of partaking,like food and drink in the ManCave is a norm!

Update Day 63 MedCzech's ManCave BioTabs grow

The Flavor Chase continues on...

There was a small twist in the story, as today we had to say good bye to one of the ladies in the tent. The Chem Stomper was not pushing out any more pistils, and the resins were starting to dry a bit up top, so I had to chop her down this morning.

It's ok though, she did her best to fight for as long as she could with her limited genetic potential.

Here she is in the tent this morning with her sisters. She fought well for the team and now it's time to give up what she's got...we already know the quality is there from the test. Pixie stix, yummy...

Here she is outside the tent, just before the axe fell, or in this case, the garden scissors...

A little close up before the chop. She just didn't have any more to give. Her buds were starting to crisp up and I know that's means I need to chop her quick.

All good though. Probably only about an ounce or a littlest less, but that's ok. I will grow out this plant again. I can't imagine I would get another bad seed from them.

Let's see the rest of the tent!

All looking happy this morning. Steady temps at around 26C and RH aeound 45 to 55 right now, and I will lower to 40 to 50. I let them float a bit, as I believe that is more natural for them.

Always trying to think ahead for everything I do to that plants and give them the best chance to grow to their best potential.

Purple Nuggets is going to be lovely. The flavor is more and more berry. I even got a little blueberry flavor when I put it in some clean glass.

Sour Livers is a treat. She is starting to bulk up a bit. I think her yield will be in the 80 gram area, just about where she should be in my tent with this light. More space would allow her to get bigger. I am very happy with tha though.

Orange Biscuit is just so awesome looking! I love this strain for its growth and vigor. Under the least powerful light, she will yield the most. Probably close to 90-100 grams I think. I have experience from last grow. Her sister gave me nearly 70 grams, and this one is bigger by 25% at least. She will still go two more weeks for sure. This next week I will give them a big boost to see if we can ride this wave of growth right here at the end. I will add a little honey, some special Bio enzymes to help break down those proteins and get s few more grams of of these ladies this week. In my experience, this is this biggest week for growth in most strains. Right around two to three weeks before harvest they seems to bulk up. Then, depending on how many white pistils I see, and the resin levels, trichomes, etc., I will decide I feel I will feed them again or just go with tap water to the finish.

It won't be long now.

Gorilla Glue bulking up more and more. Her colas will be those fat classic indica colas we all love.
Dude, you are not a Gorilla,...wtf are you doing in here. Says, he heard FAT INDICA COLAS and just thought he pulse pop in for a look.

Alright then, shall we move on after the little distraction? ...ok let's do it! The Chase is on!

Look at this lovely little bud on the Orange Biscuit. Damn, looks so frigin tasty, don't it?! Soon Med, soon!

I know , she will be so tasty, and wishes you all could have a chance to light her up!!

Sour Livers saying, ummm, yeah, don't forget about me. I will taste pretty damn good too. They are starting to get jealous a bit.
I should have known to stick this many hot bitches all in such a small space. There were bound to be some long stares, back handed comments, and tons of passive aggressive attitudes...I keep telling them that they don't have to worry, I love them all the same.

Gorilla Glue just doing her thing and doesn't seem to actually care much. She could get a little larger than I though, but either way, the flavors from her tick the boxes for me!
Interesting note, she is a light eater herself, and doesn't drink as much as the other girls except the Chem Stomper, who was always behind.

Just thought I would try to get a shot of the PN to highlight those lovely colors she has. You can see there are still plenty of white pistils, so we will keep her going another week for sure.
