The only thing I can think of is that there is particulate matter from the Mega Crop that falls out of solution as it sits. So, perhaps this is causing a swing in the pH over time. I’m no scientist, though. Just a guess based on observations.

Slow added an underwater fan to keep water circulating.

I emailed Greenleaf about the pH rising issue. They got back with me crazy fast, which is very cool. However, the answers and advise are subpar to me. I was told that as long as the pH is between 5.5 and 6.5 that everything is peaches and cream. He also said different water sources react differently. I use RO. I agree with the range. But telling me it is ok for my pH to rise .4-.5 overnight is not fine in my eyes. I don't mind a minor rise in pH, but I can't feel okay with a .5 rise overnight. They told me to put some pH down in it. Now why would I use pH UP when making my nutes because it is 5.4 and then turn around a day later and put pH DOWN in my Rez because it is 6.5?

Since I have a ton of MC and it does work well handwatering I will use up what I have and experiment with it. They are coming out with a new formula in a few weeks, but not sure if it will hold pH better. I have a new plan on how I will try using MC with my drip stakes. I am going to make my water in a few minutes. It will be about 5.5 pH when first mixed up. I will let it sit in the Jug overnight. Let's see what the pH is. Maybe if we mix it and do not use it or add UP it will drift upwards slower? Worth a shot. Good luck, slowandeasy

Mine is 7 and that’s exactly where it settles and it takes about a full 12 hrs to get there. I hand water so I don’t know much past that. I had a lot of plants going and couldn’t waste any Megacrop as I was running low only bought a small bag because of the rising ph.

My pH is about 6.7. I use RO water, which can contribute to pH rising if the nutes are not stable. My guess is they cut corners on buffers or something. What are you setting your pH at with MC when you handwater? Are you saying your MC water will rise to 7 in 12hrs? That's no good.

Yes if I don’t use it up it goes up to 7. I feed at 6.

Wow, that is too fast! Do you have to add any UP or Down to get to 6? When I make my water, it is about 5.5. I am going to make some now and test. I am not going to add anything to pH it. I will let the Jug sit overnight. I will retest. Then let it sit for 12-24 hours and check again. I don't like having to adjust pH often, so I won't bother with drip feeding til I figure it out.

Usually not, 30-45 minutes after i mix till about 3 hrs it’s around a 6. Then at some point it goes up to 7.

Day 65.

She continues to drink at an incredible rate, but her nutrient uptake doesn’t seem to be increasing. This afternoon, as the lights came on, her PPMs were at 1690 and the pH was 5.5 (a drop in pH!!! - but not out of parameters). I added 2.5 liters of 20% strength nutrients to her bucket. Afterwards, the pH was 5.8 and the PPMs were 1380. Temperature in the tent is 71° F and the RH is 43%. Her odor is getting stronger as she builds up a layer of frost. She’s developing a slightly berry or fruity undertone to the already existing and overwhelming stench of weed and old gym sneakers. Her buds continue to fatten regardless of my inability to keep her PPMs in check.

For the next bucket change I’m going to slightly cut back on the Mega Crop and slightly increase the Bud Explosion to see where that takes me.
