Thanks, @Mizzo81. I found them. I also saw you bluetoofs, which looked amazing and your cosmic queen. I’ve been waiting on cosmic queen for weeks to come back in stock before making my next order. Hopefully it’ll be around for the Black Friday sale. I want to get that and the Walter White that @archie gemmill is always on about.

They have some wonderful strains. Yeah that Bluetooth hit 31” so the DG was probably like 38”. Cosmic queen was short compared to what others had. I need to get more cosmic and 4AM.

at the bottom of post see 'threadmark' didnt know what it was for a long time,but its a great lil tool for marking events...like trying to find something in a journal so handy i went and done 80 odd pages in my cupboard the other week.
cosmic queen was a lovely smoke,so nice i smoked the lot and forgot to keep a sample for me wee collection 4am,bears and og's im not so keen on.DG i cant remember but i have another in the cupboard so i will find out again soon

Day 40.

I’ve been researching supercropping because I don’t know if she’s going to stop growing. She’s now standing at 34 inches (~86 cm) from the top of the bucket. Her buds are starting to put on a little weight, so I am hopeful that the stretch is over or at least close to over.

I’ve switched the lights from an 18/6 schedule to a 20/4 schedule in hopes of decreasing the internode distance to try to stack the colas a little bit. I may be a bit late on this move. I didn’t want to fry my little jalapeño plant. Oh well...live and learn. I think if I only had the Double Grape in the tent, I probably would have gone 24/0 from the get go.

I did yet another reservoir change today. She was down to about 2 liters of nutrients. In 12 liters of water, I added 6 ml of Hydroguard, 10.5g of Mega Crop, 6g of Cal+Mag Pro, 3g of Sweet Candy and 3g of Bud Explosion. I’m still seeing some purple on the stems of her fan leaves, so I increased the Cal/Mag. And since I believe it’s a Mag deficiency, I dropped the Bud Explosion back down to 1g/gal.

Thats going to be a nice size girl. Day 40, she should provide some good Christmas meds, Good growing.

I would suggest that you "bend" over the top cola first and then any other tops as you feel are too tall. If all of the "tall" colas are bent then you will have more room to grow and she will take a few days before you may want to bend them all again.

I believe that your bud development is just fine for her being 40 days old. She will fatten those buds over the next 3-4 weeks. Sit back and enjoy what a pretty and healthy lady you have in your tent. She may go 80-90 days for you. Nice grow, that is for sure. I see some trichs development and that is wonderful.

Thank you @Seymourbud. She sure has impressed me. I really hope that she’s done by Christmas. I cannot wait to see how this finishes up. I look in my tent a couple times a day in eager anticipation.

You know, I cannot speak highly enough or frequently enough about @mephisto. They have expertly chosen their breeding stock and made the necessary crosses and back-crosses to really create strains that are easy to grow and obtain fantastic results regardless of the growing media or the grower skill. I also cannot speak any more highly about @BigSm0 and cobshop.net or @Greenleaf Nutrients snd Mega Crop. The combination of these three things has really taken this grow to another level. I never would have thought that this would be possible with 120 watts of light and a nutrient regimen that even an idiot like me can follow.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times...I am no expert. I mostly just mimic other peoples’ growing techniques and hope I don’t mess it up too badly. I really feel lucky with this grow. This is the first time that I haven’t run into issues with the genetics, nutrients or lights. Somehow, I stumbled and bumbled my way into this. I just hope beyond all hope that I can continue to stay out of her way to let her do her own thing.

Thanks, @Nosias. I can see her buds are gaining weight every day. It’s hard for me to imagine what the end result will look like because I haven’t seen any that really look like her in other journals. A couple of close ones. It goes to show that each individual plant is unique.

In my inexperienced mind, I keep going back and forth about how long she’s going to take to finish up. Some times I look at her and I think that she’s going to finish in the 70 to 77 day time frame. Other times, I look at her and think that she’ll go over 100 days. Seriously. I have no clue. I see what I hope will be trichs, but I don’t really know enough about botany or plant biology or even the cannabis plant to be able to say for sure yet.

I think she’s slowing down her growth a bit. I am hopeful that I won’t have to bend her over. It goes against my philosophy of staying out of her way and letting her do her own thing. I may have a few other tricks up my sleeve before I have to resort to bending her stems. We’ll jump that hurdle when we come to it, though.

I just took a tape measure to her (an experience she won't soon forget - just kidding) and she's standing at 36 inches tall as of today. Please, oh please, Double Grape, slow down. I can't keep up with you.
