New Grower MCPD_Refugee loses his virginity to White Widow and Blueberry

Glad you figured it out.
If you ever run into some issues you want a fast answer on you can make a thread in the infirmary. There is a template that you fill out with all the details of your grow so that people who help out in that section can make an accurate diagnosis:pass:
My method for watering is to water enough to soak all the soil in my whole pot and then wait however many days for the pot to dry out again. You will get the hang of it with experience.
You pretty much just want to get a good wet/dry cycle going. You can start getting a feel for it by lifting up the pot before and after you water so you can tell how much it weighs wet vs dry.
Also watering in a circle around the plant but not directly on the main stem encourages the roots to grow out and search for water i think.
Hope this helps you out if you didnt know already.

Day 25

Well...I haven't killed anything yet. I may kill my Blueberry. She's on her way. I've asked around and maybe I'm pushing nutes too hard. She is yellowing from the bottom up. I think that it's probably too much nitrogen. I swear I'm gonna throw out the other half bag of the FFOF. So, any recommendations on a soil that doesn't come in four foot bales for next time would be greatly appreciated. So I'm going to start giving pure water every other day and stick with 1.5 mL/L of Bloom A & B with 1.0 mL/L of Cal/Mag on the feeding days. Here's where they are:

First the Blueberry

Then the White Widow

Thanks for stopping by everyone. Feel free to drop a comment or post your own photos or whatever. I could use some serious inspiration right now.

Just out of curiosity, do you have a pH meter? If so, what's the pH at of your nutrient/water solution? I can't recommend one enough, even the cheap ones on the internet will work fine when calibrated regularly. The pH should be between 6.0 and 7.0 after nutrients are added when growing in soil.
I've used FFOF for a couple years and just recently took a break from using it. I got very acidic soil and fungus gnats (but if you use soil you'll probably get 'em anyway).
The bottled water at 5.8 pH will be quite a bit lower once nutrients are added. It might be possible that she's in nutrient lock-out.
The yellow color of the BB looks like a nitrogen deficiency to me. Also, might be a bit of calcium deficiency as well from the looks of that spot on the lower leaf there. Hard to tell when looking from my phone. [emoji50]
Wish I could be of more help! I'll try sending good vibes your way!

The Advanced Nutrients are supposed to be "pH Perfect." Supposedly, they will raise or lower the pH to 6.0-ish. The cheap pH meter I had stopped working when I tried to change batteries. I took it back and bought VooDoo Juice for my next grow. Oops. I know I should have a proper pH meter. I'll get one eventually.

I'm gonna let the pots dry out a bit and not feed or water them until tomorrow late in the day. Then I'm going to start back with a smaller amount of pure water...probably 200 mL. Then on Monday, I'll go back to a lighter feed. Then water on Tuesday and so on. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Roots organic original is a good soil.
If you can i would atleast get a $5 api ph test kit on amazon so you can ph your water before adding nutes atleast. I have no experience with the nutes you are using though.
If you are using bottled water that is 5.8 ph thats going to be too low after adding most nutes.
Distilled water would be better, it starts at 7.0 i believe.

Well, crap. I must've missed that part. Sorry about that! I have zero experience with the Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect line.:baked:

Quick mid-week update. Today is Day 29. Things are...ok in the cabinet. I'm still not sure if I have my Blueberry's issues under control. She's light green and showing a Cal/Mag issue but she seems to be getting better. Here are the photos in no particular order. You'll be able to tell the plants apart. The White Widow is much darker.

hey buddy looking good there : ) the dark one i think is maybe a little over fed. mine went like that last time. think i can see some burnt tips there and dark green is quite commonly too much N. look pretty healthy though. just need to adjust the nutes slightly. do the leaves on the dark one feel a bit thin? also some of your tips look like theyre saying theres a light or a fan thats maybe a little too close. nothing to worry about though. few little adjustments and youl be bang on track : )
