New Grower massgrass' first plants ever! Cob. Organic. Gbd super soil. Auto Mazar, Sour Crack, and friends.

∆ Wish I caught your post earlier, but I got a little something before I read it. Picked up a ring diffuser rated for 103 gph, and a pump the same size. Think ill try it till I upgrade, then use it to oxygenate water. The simple TeaLab kit looks good with the pump, aerator, and teabag. Probably pop for that and maybe try their tea too. Good looking out.

∆ Looking at a new aerator, some ewc, bu's teabags, and black strap tonight that want some action ;and some girls that need some love.
Kelp sounds good to me, do you roll liquid or Granular? I read the granular gives fungi something to bind to.
mg

peace out, and come again.

Hey MG :pass: yea on the pump i would upgrade for sure. In an ACT you want more oxygen to get that tea brewing good. Tealab sells the 5 gal kit with a 571 gph pump. Bigger pump means a shorter brewing time. I trust the guys selling brew kits are providing the best pump for the job. It seems to be working for me so far

I brew the kelp meal in the tea. i use the Neptune's Harvest kelp meal. Haven't tried liquid, but it is easier since you wouldn't need to brew a tea. This liquid kelp I have heard good things about http://growershouse.com/pure-grow-ice-kelp-icelandic-kelp

That liquid kelp looks sweet. That company has some cool super soil components. I was digging their offerings. Although limited, everything looks good.

Yeah, Ill upgrade to the tealab kit on payday (Thursday).

Do you have a Target temperature when brewing?

Also, how long is a batch good for. Let's say 65° and aerated.

Keep it Green

So anyway, massgrass. What I've been thinking on your twisty leaves it may be an atypical presentation of Cal def., It would also explain the slightly light color of green in all your plants. They don't utilize N as well if there low calcium.

Yo Jingo.
Sorry it took a minute to get back to you.
So I was giving everything but the seedlings 1teaspoon per gallon of G.O. CaMg+ with each watering. Ive added 1Tablespion of black strap to every watering.

So then I noticed my sample of Elemental from Roots organics had a much higher Ca content than the G.O.

So, as Mg doesn't seem to be the issue, I think I am going to switch over to the elemental.

Also, the affected Mazar is now doing this

Ive got a batch of EWC & Bu's tea that will be finished cooking tomorrow morning, hopefully in time for watering, I'll know tonight after work.

Thought the ewc might also provide some N, in light of your assessment.

ALSO: IMPORTANT!
I couldn't stop thinking about potential light stress, considering my cob is considered a 1KW HID "replacement", and alot of folks run 600W in a 4x4.

So I hit up the light manufacturer for some 411. They recommended 30" between light and tree.
I was at 24" looking at a lot (19"!!!) of wasted space above the cob. Then I believe It was Raoul's grow where he moved his cob up, which inspired me to get jiggy and re hang the Johnson Grow Lights CX-9.
So I reclaimed like 10".

This puts light stress as a candidate for my maladies.

Also worth noting, the Mazars and the SC were victims of high temps and humidity in their formative years. Perhaps I scarred them for life.

The White Train has only seen moderate temps and 50ish % Rh.

The climate here has been pretty steady around 55% and 75-81° for at least a week. Since the ambient temperature came up to ±65% in the basement, I can run the exhaust full time. Keeps the radiator busy, but she's keeping up.

No f'ing idea what I'm going to do next winter, but at least I have some time to think about it.( And a 1200w radiator in a box ready to go. I think it will trip my circuit breaker though)

So that's my status.
Despite my challenges, growing ganja is one of the most fulfilling and tranquilizing endeavors on which I have embarked.
Gonna keep on poppin' beans until it clicks!

Peace Out

SC_1
Got the full 360°+.
Loop de loop.
Still green, still growing.
Making the best of it, moved the cob up 10".
Starting ewc /compost tea tonight, in case a little N and my microherd can help me out.
I know curly tips can indicate N overload, but leaves are not dark green, and my soil shouldn't be that hot.

Sposta be hard to overfeed with ewc anyway, I think.

Bud sites are popping up nonetheless.

Going to start reading a lot more about organic gardening, and keep my fingers crossed.

Peace

That roots calcium looks good, may not need an increase in N since a cal def can reduce N utilization. Those other leaves with the rust are classic cal def and I think your twisty leaves may have been an early atipical cal def.

Hopefully getting good run off when you water?

Hello friends.
Sorry I haven't checked- in in a few.
For now I am over at the Infirmary, getting some medical attention.

We is sick.
Getting expert help.
Come learn a thing or two from my mistakes, and the on- point counseling I am benefitting from.

So, yeah.
For now I will be over here:
https://www.autoflower.org/index.php?threads/59662/

Wish me luck.
I'm not remotely discouraged, just really interested in what needs to be done to make things right.

I have 11 or 12 strains of beans in the fridge. Multiple seed packs.( Hell yeah, Mephisto freebies!!)

Six I haven't even opened yet. I love my life. :)

Two seeds floating?..... let's check.....both Auto Livers and Northern Cheese Haze sunk when I tapped 'em. AL(2) popped the tiniest tail. NCH not that I can see...

Into soil tomorrow, both.

I like to catch them pre tail, cause I don't want to break anything, and I don't want to worry about seed orientation in the hole. I'm just happy when I get the bean IN the hole. Haha

Au naturel.

Depth of hole I take seriously. Hoping to avoid helmets. One knuckle deep. I have been lucky so far.

MBAP growing slow, picking up a little.

AL never fully launched. Its TINY, and is having a hard time forming the first sets of leaves.

For Mazars and SC's please see link. Come hang out there for a bit.

Peace, and stay tuned.

Same Link, again, for convenience. :)

D. P. Auto Mazar 1 (AM_1) and AM_2 looked like twins for the first week, but _1 is showing longer, thinner leaves, and looks more spread out. _2 has the wider, shorter leaf, and seems a little bit more dense. _1 around 4", _2 is 3½". These Mazars are getting more spacious accommodations very shortly. ie: up-potting.

Mephisto Sour Cush , SC_1&2 are tall but they have a breeze on ' em to keep em moving slightly. Forgot to measure them today.

1 x Mephisto The White Train got dunked in H2O last night for planting tonight.

I was trying to add some pictures, but all I'm getting is links today:

Ill keep working on it.

Stuff I got:
:4x4x7 Gorilla TENT. Glad I got Gorilla. Feel good hanging expensive and heavy items from that strong roof. Good, forgiving zippers.
:4" 171 cfm Durabreeze INLINE EXHAUST FAN. On speed controller and cycle timer to keep temps manageble. Currently 50% speed, 1 hour off, 2 minutes on. 5 year warranty. Dealer down the street.
:4x14 Can-Lite carbon filter.
: Johnson Grow LIGHTS ,( now dba Horticultural Lighting Group), CX-9 535 watt Cob. 9x Citizen CLU048 1212 chips. Madewell drivers. 3 year warranty. Permanently mounted 58" above floor, 46" above soil, currently at 55% power. Also local grow shop. Owner uses same lights with great success. Backs product.Good return policy, close ties with lighting manufacturer. Local accountability for my investment.
: 400 watt OIL FILLED RADIATOR. Shooting for 81°F. Waiting on heat controller replacement. Super Disappointed with HYDRO GALAXY(online) and BLUEPRINT for worlds worst customer service and sub par products. Bought 3 Blueprint controllers. 2 arrived defective.
: OSCILLATING FAN on ceiling. STATIONARY FAN 18" off floor blowing gently across plants.6" CLIP FAN chilling out for now, because seriously, what's that thing sposta clip on to? LMAO ... Nothing good in this kid's tent. I'll definitely find a use for it as the babies grow.
: HUMIDIFIER with controller/sensor. 45-55%Rh.(update: just dropped to 35-45%. Basing off TaNg's ongoing successes with ±81°F and 35-45%. I like spending time in my Conservatory, so It's ok if I have to water daily. I'm in there every 12-14 hours.
:Light TIMER: 20/4
:SOIL:......
I'm going to post this and come right back.
a) want to see how link turns out.
b) can't bear to watch this much one-fingered typing disappear (again) cause I'm medicated. Ha!
Back in a flash...
