Thanks, there are no preflowers on her yet so I knew I cud get away with a 2nd top. She recovered well after the first top when she was young so I tried it again to see what happens cuz most ppl dont have enough time in veg to top an auto twice. Had there been preflowers already I would not have topped her again tho. But shes still in veg so I let it rip. She recovering faster than the first time now shes more established so I'm happy with my decision so far. I cant wait to see her buds to stack up too.

If there is one thing I have learned about Auto's, it is that it's perfectly fine to plant the Auto seeds directly in their final pots. No need to sprout them in smaller cups first. Just my 2 cents.

So far I've topped almost every auto I've grown (indoors and out) but I've never tried topping one twice. I'm growing a very stretchy Mango Smile right now, I might take another look at topping it again since I'm in a really short grow space.

Keep in mind that topping is a stress training technique to help the plant grow out rather than straight up.. Or like a busy and not a Christmas tree. It's not really about yield.. Yes, you get more tops.. But the number of tops doesn't equal yield. Depending on the pheno of the plant, topping can increase, decrease or have no effect at all on yield. The purpose of topping is to break the apical dominance of the main cola. Doing this sends a signal to the plant to focus it's energy on growing side branches, rather than just the one main cola. All of the branches start to race to be the dominate cola, which is the one tallest branch or the closest to the light.

I top them all, I just like the lower bushy structure with lots of similar sized colas. Haven't had a single plant object yet.
