Some changes in the lineup this week (clockwise from top center: Vanilla Latte auto, Jelly Rancher fem, GG4 auto, Gold Leaf auto S1 #1, Gold Leaf auto S1 #2, Purple Kush auto sprout):
Missing in the photo is GG4 auto #1, by GGstrains through Hembra Genetics, harvested Wednesday on day 83, dry trim last night. The buds weren't getting any fatter, and she was showing lots of amber trichomes. At 80°F and 55% RH she dried too fast, even in a paper bag. Probably will still lose a little water weight. She's not very aromatic, but a tasty vape. The high so far is a nice balance between stony and creative:
Vanilla Latte Auto by Humboldt, via Hembra Genetics, is racing to the finish at day 55, 2 weeks into flowering:
Jelly Rancher fem is looking good at 63, 15 days into flowering. The breeder, Humboldt, says she's a "fast photo" that flowers in 45 days, so maybe a month to go:
GG4 auto #2, first coco grow, is looking shapely at 44. I'm following
N.Haze's GH Flora schedule for coco. She got fed "week 3" formula from day 16 to day 40 before switching to the "week 4" formula. Watering to 10% runoff twice a day (over 1 liter now):
These 2 sisters are Gold Leaf Auto S1 (my own seeds!). They both got topped this week above node 4, a little behind schedule because of early pH issues:
Top #1 on day 25:
Top #2 on day 23:
Half of my topping attempts so far have been FIMs, which gives 2 extra tops. We'll find out by next week on these 2 (either the wound will heal, or sprout 2 branches). I found an anonymous seed rolling around my sock drawer, which I think is another sister to these girls.
I started another Purple Kush Auto. She broke ground on Sunday. I dropped her pot on Wednesday while moving her to empty her runoff pan. I picked her out of a pile of dirt on the floor and re-planted her. She looks like a survivor. I removed her humidity dome this morning. I've re-set her day 1 to Wednesday (re-plant day):
I'll be fabricating a gutter to collect runoff and rout it into a bucket, so I don't have to move plants every day to empty their saucers.
That's it for this week. Thanks to all my AFN mentors (
