DutchPassion Show Grows 2024 MaraCachafa grows LemonZ

Today is day 40. I flipped to 12/12 on day 38. Feeding twice a day, right after lights on and again before lights off, with 4.5 g/GL of MegaCrop 1-part, varying pH between 5.8 - 6.2. No sign of sex yet. Waiting for a bit more stretch to spread the tops into a flatter canopy.

I chopped off the lowest branches before I flipped to 12/12, painted the stems with Clonex, and stuck them in coco soaked in 1.5 g/GL of MegaCrop 1-part, hoping to do a 2nd grow (with permission from Antonio). I never cloned anything before, but they aren't dead yet on day 3. They have a humidity dome to boost RH to near 80%, and are getting misted twice a day with distilled water. They're getting 18 hours of light, 3 feet below a 65w LED board.

Did you scrape the stem to encourage roots before the gel? That increases success rates greatly. Also the older woodier branches are harder to clone. Just some tips for next time you try it. They look healthy tho, and i wouldnt be surprised even if the oldest (first) branches cloned easily with no problem, considering how healthy these genetics are! Plants look great! Going natural or have some training planned?

I did scrape the stems of the cuttings before coating with Clonex. Four of them are lower branches with 2 growth nodes buried. The two smallest are secondary branches with only 1 node buried. I topped the big girls at about 3 weeks old. I usually spread the tops with a wire hoop to get a flat canopy, probably this week. Thanks for following my grow, and for your expert advice!

FWIW Anotino told me to journal the clones separately from the lemon z contest plant. I plan to fire up a new DP journal later today for them and some others too:d5::pass:

It was weird for me I didn't think anything was going to happen. I was only feeding cups about once a week 450ppm and not misting just kept RH in the tent >65%. Nothing was happing then all of sudden leaves unwitled and roots were at the bottom all within a day or so but it took a solid 12-14 days

Thanks! I was hoping to follow your cloning experiments. I just pulled up my message from @Antonio_DutchPassion, and he only asked that I label the clones "Lemon Z - Dutch Passion." I will make it a separate thread.

Yeah maybe I did that to myself :doh:he told me the same thing then I asked if I should journal separately and he said "yes that would be best" so maybe not necessary. I was going to start one right up but then got thinking if they didn't take off it would have been short lived so I waited till I'm seeing life:shrug: :baked:

Yeah all good guys and :thanks: , as long as you label them accordingly, which you did so couldn't ask for more really!

Like Lil Dab said already, I think it would be best to keep this journal about the seedplants (not the clones).
But ofc, you are free to do as you please, if you finished the grow and will grow some of them again I would definitely make a new thread for that.

Keep it up, plants & clones looking lively and happy! :headbang:

Hope you all had some good X-Mas days, I wish you all the best for 2025, onto a greener and better future!:dancer:
