OK, back in the saddle again... I've just finished a CBD Shark which is drying ATM & am off again with a single Diesel Ryder auto fem...

The seed was soaked in a glass of water overnight & thrown (not literally!) into a damp kitchen roll & put in a tupperwear style container where she will sit until she germs...

The grow will be in a 10L air pot using Canna coco pro & I will be using the Canna coco range of nutes

The environment will be a 58x76x240 purpose build grow room in the airing cupboard (not sure what you non UK guys would call it but it's similar to a built in wardrobe)

Lighting? I have a 250w Sunmaster dual spectrum bulb in a cool tube & a 100/150/250/SL digital ballast

Ventilation comes from the attic & in the room via a 4" RVK & back out through a 5" RVK & is supported with a SMS fan controller

I think that just about covers everything important?

Pics will come along once I take some Lol! But your not missing much by not seeing a seed that hasn't germed ;)

Thanks for dropping by, & anything you want to know then just ask :)

That was fast :)

I'll pop her into the pot later & do a better update too :)

OK, the deed is done ;)

But first, the tools of the trade (at this stage)

Canna Rhizo
PH down
Syringe
PH meter
& a handy plastic jug :)

A bucket of water (this one is 10L) that has been sat overnight to degas & trusty truncheon for stirring :)

I've added the rhizo at 2ml/L, mixed well & PH'd to the magic number...

I've hydrated the coco with 3L of the water (I don't need run off at this stage)

Continued.... (I'm having pic issues :()

Make a small hole for the seed & pop it in :)

Cover the hole (it's about 3mm from the surface)

And, as my groom isn't available until tomorrow (I have a plant drying in it) I'll leave her in the kitchen overnight (Mrs M_C will hate me for that LOL)

The temps will be fine as it's fairly warm at the moment & she doesn't need any light until she breaks surface, so all is fine :)

..and now we wait...

Just been reading up on what you guys think about topping....

I was actually going to grow this plant as a 'Christmas tree' with no LST or anything (It's over a year since I last grew like that)... but hearing the negative thinking on topping, I will top her & show what can be done :)

It's all in the timing of the top :)

Sounds good mate. There are a few growers on here that top with good results, i tried it once and made a balls of it so i just lst now.

Watch carefully as I pick my moment to top... it's all in the timing, to soon, you screw it up by crippling her veg stage... too late & you screw up her stretch & yield potential...

So, that only leaves one possible point... where veg meets flower - or, the third true node ;)
