New Grower Lucy's Very First Grow - Ak48 auto in soil LED

Day 35

I'm a little concerned about stinky gurl today, she's looking droopy. I don't think I have under watered as she has gotten water every 3 days. She seemed bone dry every time but I can't imagine that I need to water more. I might have over watered, not sure. She hasn't looked great since I put her in the tent. Her leaves are quite dark so I am thinking plenty of Cal-mag & nutes. Both plants have a little bit of nute burn on the tips but it's not too bad.

The variegated plant actually looks better than stinky gurl at this point. Despite getting the same amount of water, nutes and light she looks good. No drooping at all and she continues to fill out where as stinky gurl seems stalled and a bit scraggly looking over all. Definitely not the size that other people's are at this age. I guess I'll have lots of improvements to make on the next grow. :stir:

I'm starting to think that I seriously don't know what I am doing LOL.

I think stinky looks hungry.. be proud of your efforts.. some grows on here are legendary and will never be achieved by us mere mortal growers lol but we all learn as we grow.. even the legends if they were honest haha personally I'd say if your happy your pots are dry then give them a good water to run off and repeat :d5:

Ya, my girls looked pretty stunted at first too. I was overwatering at first. I slowed that and they took off and now they are some very thirsty girls...
Mine won't be like the massive buds I've seen on here as this is my first grow in several years, but I'm re-learning and I'll go for bigger buds next time, but hey my girls aren't looking bad, buds are growing and I'll be happy with whatever because I grew it myself!!
:vibe:

Yeah, I checked the soil again. It is dusty dry below the surface. I am probably not giving them enough at one time. I gave them a good soaking tonight.

The soil I am using (Happy Frog) is not something I've experienced before. It looked peaty but it doesn't hold water. When I water the dirt will float, eventually soaking down in while leaving odd holes in the soil. It just always feels like dust more than peaty soil.

Not that I am blaming the soil. I'm just in unfamiliar territory. If I were growing flowers or a houseplant I would not be impressed with how it behaves or feels.

Does it have coco in it? Slow, multiple watering may be necessary
