Rollin, I think you might be right. The older the plant gets the more it looks like it's variegated. Just my luck, very first grow and I get a very rare mutation that isn't a good one. I was hoping to avoid anything like that by buying from a good vendor. Oh well, I still have one good plant and the funky one does have enough green for phohotosynthesis since it is growing normally.. Fingers crossed.

Day 16 update. Plant1 is still doing great and plant 2 is still funky. It's shorter but has the same number of leaves but they are a bit smaller than plant1.

I probably did a dumb thing today. My original plan was to grow out these 2 autos and when they are drying I was going to start 2 Laughing Buddhas (photos) from Barneys Farm. I've never smoked LB but it's one of those bucket list things. There is nowhere I can buy it so I'll grow it. Yesterday I started them even tho my first grow is only 2 weeks old. I am creating a potential hassle for myself if the autos don't finish on time. Worst case is I end up with huge photo sativas because I have to keep them in veg so long. I plan to top them heavily anyway so hopefully I can keep them below 6 feet tall lol.

I am nervous about the photos but I am also having more fun ....for now

I've got a monkey on my back with the seed buying. It's just so much fun to shop for new ones. I will never admit to how many I have already LOL. I'm blaiming it on the freebies heh.

Seed buying is an addiction lol. I have way more seeds than I can grow. Wait....... can I hear a Mephisto drop a’coming......

I came home to a skunky smelling house today. My good/normal plant stinks like a skunk. Very strange given it's age and strain. I'm baffled and almost amused.

The variegated one is pretty. It grows more white striping with every new leaf. It's kinda fancy looking.

Day 21 this is yesterday's post that got eaten by the server, today is actually day22

When I got home from work today Stinky gurl had 3 leaf tips that looked a little wilted. It was hot (85F) today. I raised the light up from 24 inches to 29. I had to remount the light in order to get that much height otherwise I would have started out at 29. Now that she has grown to a height of 8 inches it really needed to be raised up some.

I also put the light on a timer and went from 24/0 to 20/4.

No girly parts yet.

The variegated plant is noticeably smaller than stinky gurl but continues to grow.



I visited a friend over the weekend who just finished a white widow auto grow of 8 plants in his greenhouse. It was good to be able to talk to someone about growing since he is the only person I know that does. We were both babbling, excited to talk about our experiences so far and I left with a quart mason jar full of very nicely done white widow bud. It's a great vape and better than anything I have bought.

Day 22

The wilting was a little worse today and I hesitated to give them their first feeding but they needed water bad so I went ahead as scheduled and added 1/4 dose of Grow big.
I'll have to edit my original post here and take out the word "organic"

I turned the fan down a notch and moved it back a bit. I knew I had a little too much fan but figured that as long as they looked good i would just keep it strong.

I really don't want to grow in a tent. I always pictured the simplicity of walking into a nice open room to see them. I'm trying to wrap my head around the whole whirring, breathing tent thing but I am not really happy about it. The smell in the house is pushing me into tent land though. I don't need to hide the smell from anyone and I like the smell of a little bud in the house but this is a seriously strong skunk smell and it's getting worse daily even tho flowering hasn't occurred yet.

I'm also not sure I can keep a decent airflow when winter hits. Now I can just open a window on either side of the room and let the air flow by them. That wont work when it's below zero outside though.

I've shopped a little for tents. Trying to get used to the idea. Trying to talk myself into it with this post also lol.
