New Grower Lucy's Very First Grow - Ak48 auto in soil LED

About 65 % brown I think. Most of them are dry and shriveled looking but there are still fluffy ones too. The ones that have turned brown are mostly light brown, not rust red.

Her buds look so pretty. Do you think you started flushing too soon? The whole nutes thing is one of the frustrating things, finding the right balance between too much and not enough. I got some Florakleen to use when it’s time to flush (assuming she eventually flowers). I haven’t researched much about it yet. I really hope the rest of this grow goes smoother for you, you deserve a break.

Yesterday I was convinced based on trichome color that I probably had another week to go ...maybe even more, but today I have a lot of amber trichomes. Some of the buds midway down look to be 50 % amber. Most just have a few sprinkled in. I have maybe 3-4 buds with no amber.

I've always said that 20% amber would be good for these two plants because I want them to be midway between a head and body high but how the heck do you measure 20% when there are millions of them that you can't even see because they are on the interior of the bud?

I almost picked up the shears to cut her down for fear that I will end up with a couchlock high, but then I remembered someone here on the forums saying " when you think they are ready, wait another week".

If I have a bud that's 50% amber should I snip it before it's too late or could it just be that I touched that bud so it turned amber?

I was planning to hang the whole plant but some of these buds look more than ready and others could be left longer.

I hate making decisions :p

Wait until someone with experience answers this, but, I was recently reading up on some “selective harvesting” technique, where you take the cola you want and leave the rest to continue developing. It sounded intriguing and it might work for you.
