New Grower Lucy's Very First Grow - Ak48 auto in soil LED

Hi Jim
I am using a cell phone camera zoomed to 8X for the most part. A few pics are the cell camera on top of a 60x loop. The loop pics don't come out as clear though.

I bought a neat little microscope that clips right on to my Galaxy s4 ,it works great for viewing but takes lousy pics

I love looking at the trichs up close, they are like works of art. I think I have 400 trichome pics on my phone right now lol and every time I start deleting I am like;
" no that's a good one, nope can't delete this one ...oh that's a nice one" so not enough end up deleted.

Yeah, I am just going to have to deal with the stink. No company over for a few weeks :p
I can't dry in the tent since I have 3 more plants in there. I will dry in the room outside the tent with the door closed and an ac unit running because OF COURSE we just got a big slug of humidity here which NEVER happens in October. Hopefully the stink won't be bad enough that it penetrates my clothing. Of course if I end up at work stinking like skunk I can just claim that my dog got sprayed lol. Everyone there knows hes a monster dog.

He's a fine pup!

Day 70 Yaaaaay

Today I took Stinky out in the daylight again to make a thorough inspection. Her pistils are shriveling up a bit and turning brown but she is not close yet I don't think, which is good.

There are a lot of new trichomes, very dewy looking and clear. Some are even immature and don't have mushroom tops yet.
Lots of milky ones still and no amber except that one bud halfway down that has had a few amber for awhile now.

There is a new development too. I don't know what it's called but it looks kind of like popped, poofy popcorn except they are green and a little more pointy than popcorn. Like a smaller version of the pods that grow on milkweeds. They are very cool looking. I've tried to photograph them but not sure if anyone will know what I am talking about. They are lining up on the outer parts of the buds. I don't think it's brand new growth because they are covered with trichomes. Maybe just something that was smaller before and now they are more noticeable. They are really pretty and add a cool geometric shape to the buds.

Then I did the unthinkable .......the thing I have been trying NOT to do. I just couldn't resist another day. I used index finger and thumb and gave that main cola a squeeze. It felt very dense and hard ( tho I am so inexperienced that I have nothing to compare it to) and OMG my fingers were covered with sticky goo that smelled like citrus. Heaven, I am in heaven right now.

I'm going to be a little sad on my next grow because all of these surprises won't be surprises next time. I will know what's coming. So today I will savor every new delight. :)

Precious! I am savoring this moment vicariously through you! They are beautiful! And sometimes you just have to touch LOL. At this point in my grow I’ll be fighting to stop myself from having just a little tokie-tokie.

I believe what you're talking about is new calyxs which are forming. This is good news as it's where the highest concentration of trichomes will be found. Basically it means it's still growing and putting weight on.
I'm not saying that you should go squeezing every cola, but a little handling here and there is nothing to worry about and i know what you mean, it's hard to resist! The only problem is that you might find yourself sniffing your fingers in public. I've had a couple of weird looks whilst on public transport...

Ehhh, so naughty it’s very addictive and a gateway.. The next thing you know you will be grabbing who knows what and sticking all of it up your nose.. Shame shame shame lol ..

Be easier to ask those who never do it to speak up, so we can all laugh at them and call them out for the liars they are..

It’s your bud, finger it all up, everyday!
