I might’ve just found one that opens in a couple hours :headbang:
How old was the last tank. Also shop for the tank yourself. Some companies are cool and just run n get the one you want others give you the ones they have "in stock" ... They buy in bulk then upcharge you for the highest price of a single

The old one was 20 years old. I kinda knew it would go soon, when I bought the place because it would make that popping noise when heating.

That can also be bad placement. In a drafty or area that has large temperature swings. The older water heaters could stand up to the fluctuating conditions better than the new ones. I think maybe cuz the metal walls were thicker. Sometimes some insulation in the room or corner its in can make a world of difference on your bill and the life of the heater

Better than you would @Aloneworld ..... :headbang: ...but as seasonal......it woud be a step up in light and heat for you.

Good for Body and Soul.......:zen:....you planning another long holiday....?....
Nahhhhh, not really. I just want to know everything so I can use that to change the world to the better - all parameters included. 🖖

It’s in an interior closet area of the house, probably in the warmest area. Although when it rains it gets little drips coming down the little chimney for it. Not a lot, but you can hear it every now and then.

Happy Saturday/Caturday/Weekend my stoner friends.....Have an awesome sort of day. Got a busy one here making bubble hash. Two loads of Orange Biscuits and one of Pink Panama. Trying to make room in the stash cupboard for the next harvest.
