Hey Now!
Was cruising about the inter-tubes and came across this. I love mine, it’s been solid and reliable for a few years now. So if you need one, I can recommend this one and the price looks decent.

Retirement ain't all that fun, gets boring after a few years. you better have hobbies and friends you like doing stuff with or it gets super boring.
Hobbies are good, growing as one of them is excellent. And friends who share activities and interests are excellent too.

Too many men in particular retire with their work as their entire identity and only interest. This often does not go well. :pighug:

The PH60 with a replaceable probe is not much more expensive. I use the PH60 and love it. I just started my second probe after three winter grows. :pighug:

You guys are so right!!
I have a few hobbies like gardening, growing, bike riding, ice fishing BBQ/smoking and jamming in a band. I really need to figure more stuff to do in the winter. I watched my grandfather retire from the masons union LU 3 and spend the next 27 years sitting in his favorite chair watching tv. Definitely not my speed!
That's something I'd really like to avoid ....

That is a really good deal!!
I'm pretty sure the analytical guys at work keep thier pH meters in a storage soln when not in use. They are probably way more precise than our needs.
Still might not hurt to have the replaceable probe and possibly a calibration soon above 7 as well. They'd tell ya that if your calibrated from 4 to 7 you only know it's right between those 2 data points and anything outside is a black box. Again they need to be way more precise than our needs and even that 20 seems like a fantastic deal
I'm just using pH paper at the moment.

Like this? Those damn rubber caps are a real pain in the arse to deal with! So I made up this to hold my probe in storage solution. Drilled a hole in the mason jelly jar top and put a rubber grommet in and viola!
