Yes it has, without it you are setting the lights to whatever and waiting to see the reaction by the plant, either too much or not enough light. Als as the leds age and the hours pile up, the leds will produce less light.

Yup that's kind of my thought's then sometimes deficiency might be brought on by too much or not enough light... Plus I always question if I am doing it right that would take some of guess work out of it
