I wish but my neighbors are elderly and if they slip and fall, I would feel bad, and public sidewalks have to be shoveled within 24hrs of the end of snowfall or its a $500 fine and if anyone slips its on me the tenant and not the landlord. City law.....

Going well! No plans for the day. I do have a nagging notion I have forgotten something, oh well....

I wish. As soon as I get off I have to go to the small engine repair place in town and get everything I need for my snowblower. Oh and I need a new auger drive belt too. Probably 100 bucks worth of stuff so far

So....who else would cancel christmas if they could....?.......

I vote cancel - it is just commercial, the 'spirit' was great when the sprogs were little but now it is just another day. This year, I have ignored it completely and it is working out OK so far.
When living in UAE the commercialisation was extreme, the Malls were competing to see who could put out the most lavish decorations, I remember one year at the Emirates Palace Hotel, they had the tree decorated with Diamonds and gold and rolexes and items like that....people were flying in from far and wide for the nonsense

Do you get in to it? What's the atmosphere in Spain?
