Two stable unrelated parents will produce a stable F1. For instance: Reversing one of two stabilized feminized F4's and crossing them will produce a very stable F1. The F1 will equally share traits from both parents and will be consistent from one seed to the next... But, crossing those F1's will result in a high rate of phenotype variation in the F2 gen.

Thanks N/A! I should have clarified, to get the traits desired, you would have to take it out further. Not just a 50/50 cross. As in The 50/50 from the first cross, but say you wanted more of plant a's structure and potency of plant b, color, bud structure, etc...breed toward what you want and to get it there, it would need more than just an F1

Think that makes sense, but a little wonky at the moment Sunday funday!
