@Mossy, as you are one of the specialists here at the forum Iā€™m asking you (others are of course more then happy to contribute ).

But wouldnā€™t you say, or what do you believe about the theory that an energized person smokes a strain that is similar to oneā€™s own rhythm/Hz to boost his/hers mind to feel ā€œnormalā€ again?

Hope yaā€™ll get what I meanā€¦ šŸŒ±

I can chime in about being bipolar manic "energized" and smoking. I usually smoke for the desired effect of slowing down. Opposite for depression, I want something to uplift me then.

I feel you, I like to smoke to get up ( in the sky, but still with my feet standing on the ground ). Have you found a strain that brings you down, the similar affect as benzos can have? I have notā€¦.

Usually anything with a later harvest is a bit more relaxing to me. I'm not a fan of benzos, but I've been prescribed them before. Now I manage with a mood stabilizer and antipsychotic. Keeps the mania much more tolerable. And smoking something a bit up around the holidays keeps the depression functional.

Wish I didn't need pills at all but I do. šŸ¤£

Oh, so you got some issues as well, thank you for sharing.

Iā€™ve got medicines prescribed, but I donā€™t want to eat them so I just bring them out and throw them away as i feel they do more harm than good, I think Iā€™ve eaten the anti-psychotic pills by free will less then the fingers on my hand - but those few times I felt I was in need of them.

Those anti-psychotic pills make me sleepy and lazy, both in body and my brain - and that is not something i desire for the ordinary daylife. If one should eat pills it should be to feel better, not transform you into a zombie or make you feel useless/outcast in some cases.

Our brains are complicated and so what many Dr do is to just fallow the book and subscribe what they have read in a book written by who knows? Frankly, to be honest I think many pills is just manufactured to make some of us into zombies so we donā€™t have the power to speak up, tell the truth. And moreover, who would believe us anyway with that stamp in the book - written by the ā€œexpertsā€.

It would be a much better way if 10 lunatics gathered together and started to do their own research on how medicines actually works on them in person and developed/designed the medicines in their own lab - legally of course.

If I could choose I would stay off any pills except nutritional ones that for sure are a benefit to your body and mind - but hey, itā€™s a crazy world šŸŒŽ.
Some meds are probably needed where we are today, but I bet that more research will show that we in fact are not ā€œcrazyā€, itā€™s rather the other way around - we were once healthy - but our surroundings made us feel sick which shows up in various conditions and WE get diagnosed.

To explain this I probably have to go back to school and study for ~7 years and then tell the doctors what they are doing wrong, what could be done different and what they are doing correct at the moment.

Will have to take i ā€œthinkerā€ about that, if thatā€™s the right approach - just to get my (and others) voice(s) heard.

I know a lot of people could be treated and helped with a lot of love and a calm life and I know that there is huge number of people who deserves to feel loved and respected, feel happy for who they are and just live a normal life in peace šŸ’œ

Make me pardon for the ramblingā€¦. :pass:

Yeah, I spent most of my 20s undiagnosed and unmedicated(well self medicating:baked:). Those were some wild years, but it just kept getting more severe as time passed until I had to do something about it. I've had a few different combinations of medicine since then, it really is a crap shoot with what works with different people.

I was unhappy with my last combo of meds, I felt dead inside, stopped going to the doctor, went off them on my own for a few months and had a "wonderful" time. Drove my wife crazy lol. Then had a short trip to the loonie bin and new combo that seems to be working for now.

I love to share about mental health. I've had a bit of journey.
