For enough money you can automate an entire grow in a recirculating system that replaces even just the minerals used and of course PH. BluLab makes some cool dosers but $$$$$$$$$ The one you are looking at is cheaper on Amazon. I have it on my watch list, I am just too cheap to make the plunge.

Actually from what I understand it was from the Japanese soldiers being hopped up on speed. At least that's what I remember from a kid, though. From what I understand it was already in the works to replace the 38, but it got rushed into production and expanded.

They do grow them big though. In Aukland, a Samoan guy lived in the house that I stayed in. A rugby player, go figure.. Every day he put a chicken, a big onion a pound each of carrots and potatoes in a pot. That and a loaf of bread was his supper.
