I'm growing regular photos and planning to pollinate then with male auto pollen for a project. So I don't need the male photos and I don't have the space to grow like 10 3 gallon pots and then toss 6 of them

I believe auto is recessive gene, if so your first generation of seeds won't be autos, and only half of the 2nd generation.

I would do smaller pots (.5 or 1gal) grow em 2 weeks and flip! Then u got another week of growth as they start to show signs of sex and by time u transplant will be ready for 12/12 depending how big u want them! If anything u can then take a clone from them and use the clone to pollinate so u will see how untainted flowers look and u don’t wind up pollinating an entire plant just for some seeds!

Think photo to auto u need to go to f4 to fully stabilize it as an auto!

Ya fuck 10 X 3gal pots i would go 3 X 10gal pots and drop 3-5 seeds per pot! Let the best lady in each pot win out and chop the rest!

So I'd have to cut clones and flower them to find out?

There are plenty of sex tests companies. Farmer Freeman, leaf works etc. Ive used farmer freeman. Build a soil guy uses him as well. Think it was $120 for 10 tests. They send a little sample vial. Just snip a bit of leaf and send them in. I did mine at one week old and was completely accurate. May sound like a lot, but easily pays for itself in multiple ways!!!
