I remember my grandma telling me about "City chicken" which is pork on skewers.

There is even a grocery I still go to that still has city chicken and they advertise it as that. Its just pork loin on skewers. Its weird to me that its a thing.
I dig it. What's with the water in the dish? Never heard of such a thing with fried or breaded foods. Texture thing I'm guessing? @Frankthetank you ever heard of such thing? And McDonald's here definitely doesn't sell gravy and doesn't sound like something I'd want them to :shrug:

I’m guessing that steaming action is to get the pork internal temp high enough without drying out too much. It doesn’t specify what kind of pork, which is weird…. But I’m assuming loin… which sucks when dry….
